Environmental protection is one of the main tasks of “NIBULON’s” activities. A company that does not give enough consideration to environmental problems will have no future. Our company is characterized by transparent policy of doing business and sincere attitude to environmental protection issues.
At every “NIBULON’s” facility (either at the elevator complex or at the transshipment terminal), “NIBULON” follows all the environmental security rules for the sake of environment preservation.
Within the investment project implementation, the company carries out works to revive the existing navigable paths along Ukraine’s rivers – the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers and also performs dredging of water area and water accesses to the transshipment terminals and berths.
At the same time “NIBULON” performs covering monitoring of dredging works with the assistance of the Institute of Fishery of Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. According to the results, there are performed compensatory measures in order to prevent from natural resources exhaustion.
The main form of such measures is fish stocking. In 2009-2012 the local budgets received costs in the amount of UAH 740 528.34 for renovation of fish stocks, Kakhovka Reservoir was stocked with fish in the amount of UAH 345 636 (129 070 specimens).
The next stage was performed in November 2012.
On November 7 Kakhovka Reservoir was stocked with fish in the amount of UAH 52 898.90 (29 388 specimens of current year and two-year-old silver carps), the Dnipro River near Kakhovka hydro power station was stocked in the amount of UAH 60 000 (69 000 specimens of current year carps). The total amount of fish, releasing in the Ukrainian reservoirs, comprises 4 trucks!
The process of fish stocking was performed by “NIBULON”. The company reproduces living water resources under observation of the specially created committees: together with the representatives of the State Agency of Fisheries of Ukraine, territorial authorities for fish conservation and local authorities.
There is no doubt that these measures will preserve the unique nature of Kakhovka Reservoir and the Dnipro River. A grateful attitude to nature is a standard of our company’s activity. We are sure that our concern for native land and environment makes our agribusiness successful.
