On September 12, 2012 there was received the first grain at “NIBULON’s” transshipment terminal of “Kozats’ka” branch (Kherson region). That day a non-self-propelled vessel NBL-009 (accompanied by NIBULON-2 tug boat), which was partly loaded with grain, arrived to the transshipment terminal of “Kozats’ka” branch from “Pereyaslavs’ka” branch. The laboratory’s staff of “Kozats’ka” branch performed sampling and further grain analysis – above 2 thousand tons of the third class wheat. On analysis completion 1100 thousand tons of the third class wheat were loaded full into holds of the non-self-propelled vessel. It should be mentioned that “NIBULON’s” non-self-propelled vessels are not loaded to their total capacity when moving downstream the Dnipro River. The reason is difficult navigable conditions – granite shallows with length of 40 km spreading from Dniprodzerzhyns’k lock to Dnipropetrovs’k city. Despite “NIBULON” has to load vessels partly now, the company is engaged in solving a problem on safe navigation on the Dnipro river. Our specially developed project provides for not only dredging of the main river of Ukraine but also the Dnipro riverbed cleaning from rocky grounds and hard rocks. It gives an opportunity to develop safe navigation by the route Belarus – Kyiv – Kherson – the Black Sea, including movement both cargo and transport vessels. The vessel’s loading at “Kozats’ka” branch was performed according to a schedule – on the night of 12/13 September using a vessel loader “Telestack”. On completion the fully loaded vessel was bound for “NIBULON’s” transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city overcoming a distance of 191 km. From there, according to a foreign economic contract, grain will be delivered to Tunisia in holds of “Master Ismail” vessel. The fact that the first non-self-propelled vessel was loaded at “Kozats’ka” branch testifies that the company managed to close a chain of its own transshipment terminals having made a navigable path along the Dnipro river to the main transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city.
