Mykolaiv City, on the 11th of May, 2011, was one of the key stationsof the business tour of French farmers. Foreign farmers, agricultural enterprise managers, exporters visited Ukraine not for the first time in order to inspect domestic agricultural complex, to analyze it for further investment. It was decided to visit “NIBULON’s” branches according to a good tradition while being in Mykolayiv region. The first visit was made to “Novoodes’ka” branch, which is the youngest branch of the company. After examination of the laboratory, welfare spaces, berth, etc., guests were unanimous: the company is a real know-how to Ukraine. “The fact that you have built your own fleet, own elevators is certainly an innovation, and not only for Ukraine but for Europe. I personally never saw the beat of it. I’m pleasantly surprised by the level of organization of work that is truly European one. So it is very important that state lends its shoulder to you and you continue to develop,”- said Fabrice Noel, the French agrarian. Guests were invited to the grain and oilseeds transshipment terminal after returning to Mykolayiv. You can postpone everything but never a lunch. So first of all guests tried branded “NIBULON’s” dinner, tasted vegetables and sausages of own production. During an excursion at the terminal French farmers in particular visited a new laboratory and administration building, had a look at modern European laboratories; visited the berth and saw with their own eyes the process of loading of non-self-propelled vessel; took pictures with pleasure. During the excursion a key topic of conversation was the issue of support of serious fair business by the state. According to guests’ opinion, in this issue Ukraine lacks behind France and Europe in general. “Ukraine should have free export – only then you get the European prices for agricultural products and farmers will be able (and most importantly – will have financial ability) to develop their businesses, upgrading equipment etc. I can not understand reasons of export quotas for grain in Ukraine. The reality shows that there is enough grain for domestic use and for export in the country – these figures will only continue to increase. Therefore, sale of agricultural products abroad for Ukraine is not only economically profitable, but it is necessary. Such a state policy frightens investors who have no opportunity to predict the situation in the market – so they leave the state today. I think without foreign investment development of the agricultural market and economy overall is actually impossible,”- said Pierre Begoc, general director of “Agritel International”.
