“NIBULON” and The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have signed an agreement on providing the company with a credit of USD 50 million. Document was signed on Thursday, on the 17th of June in Kyiv. According to the experts, it is unprecedented case of granting the loan during the financial and economic crisis. The money will be used to expand the scale of the investment project of “NIBULON”, which is a leader of the agrarian market, domestic investors and large agricultural producers. “During the crisis, for the past two years, namely the potential of agriculture is one of the most stable elements for the future development of Ukraine, when we talk about the potential. There are people who know how to do this business, but it often happens that the infrastructure for the export of grain is too weak. In this case, we will finance infrastructure in the sector, will support “NIBULON” and Ukraine in general, to export grain in the future”, – noted the director of the EBRD in Ukraine Andre Kuusvek. He added that “credit is being issued for seven years, but we hope that very soon we will have other projects”. “NIBULON” cooperates with key financial institutions of the world. General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy noted that together with the support of the EBRD the company gets invaluable experience of financial management, adopting a model from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. “For our company, this is a serious step in the further implementation of investments in Ukraine and in agricultural sector. The task of our company is to promote the revival of the Dnipro River, improve logistics, to revive its own fleet. The fleet is constructed by Ukrainian shipyards, and these vessels will fly Ukrainian flag and transport Ukrainian grain, this will allow moving grain closer to market outlets. For our company this is a good school of cooperation. It means achievement in work with the bank. On the scale of borrowing we can say that this is 5 new cutting-edge elevators, or 30 non-self-propelled vessels of “river-sea” type, – said O. Vadaturskyy. Today, the investment program of “NIBULON” is the most large-scale of being implemented in Ukraine at the time of financial and economic crisis. It receives support from a number of financial organizations in the world and Ukraine. “This is equity capital, that expected for the financial crisis to be invested in the economy, including Export Credit fund EKF (Denmark), Export credit agency Atradius (the Netherlands), this is projects through “Ukreximbank” on the EBRD projects and the World Bank, plus borrowings of Ukrainian “Ukreximbank”. Now we are the owners of the largest loan portfolio”, – said O. Vadaturskyy. Investment program of the company is rated for 2-3 years, but according to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, it is performed ahead of the schedule. He also emphasized that “NIBULON” today is an example of work not only for agricultural sector but for the economy as a whole. During the past marketing year, the company exported 4,8 million tons of grain. As it was calculated by the company’s experts, if indicators of productivity throughout Ukraine were at the same level as that of “NIBULON”, total crop in the country could reach 85-87 million tons. At the moment the company is a leader in all regions where it is engaged in agricultural production.
