It means that more than 2,080 trucks haven’t moved through Zaporizhzhia, through a dam of the hydroelectric power station to the transshipment terminals in Bilenke and Kamianka-Dniprovska, as well as to Ukraine’s port cities (400-450 km).
Agrarians from Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv regions and even agrarians from some districts in Poltava and Donetsk regions have already experienced advantages of NIBULON’s newly built transshipment terminal, its third facility in Zaporizhzhia region. Due to close location to agricultural commodities producers and well-organized work of “Ternivska” branch, agrarians can effectively sell their grain and perform from 3 to 4 cargo trips per day by one vehicle (it’s an important aspect during agricultural commodity procurement). Due to the reduction of distance to deliver grain, the economic feasibility of light-duty trucks increases and the dependence on rented vehicles reduces. Agricultural producers are able to significantly save their money that can be invested in the development of their enterprises.
To date, 70 agricultural producers have already signed agreements for supply and storage with “Ternivska” branch.
The grain received at the terminal in Ternivka is shipped and delivered by water transport to the company’s sea terminal in Mykolaiv or to the outer roads. On August 2, the first convoy of non-self-propelled vessels and tug will arrive for loading at the cargo berth of the branch. Taking into account the fact that the facility is capable of receiving more than 300,000 tons of grain per year, more than 12,500 trucks will be removed from the regional roads. Each ton of goods transported by water saves significant funds on road repairs.
Zaporizhzhia region is the only region in Ukraine that has three high-tech transshipment terminals on the Dnipro River. All grain received at the terminals will be transported by water. The increase in transportation of agricultural commodities by water transport is one of the priorities of our company’s activities. And the company has everything to this end, in particular its modern fleet, which is built at the company’s own shipbuilding yard and already numbers 75 vessels. Thanks to the development of river logistics, NIBULON not only removes thousands of trucks from Ukrainian roads, but also significantly reduces transportation costs; and this allows the company to offer agrarians fair market prices for agricultural products.
