The construction of the first of the series of “NIBULON’s” tugs (order №183)is being completed. The vessel, which is more than a month in the dry dock of Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard “Okean”, outside already has outlines of completeness. The main operation cycle on the tugboat is finished, painting works are at the final stage. Installation of rudder propeller unit and other equipment will soon be started, workers of “Okean” will soon finish this order. Currently workers of the yard have fully painted outer skin (without rudder propeller unit installation area) and bottom tank; erection is adjusted, installation of doors and portholes is continued. Works on the second vessel are continued according to the schedule (order № 184), which is located near the first one in the dry dock. Its hull is already fully formed, erection is installed, hull saturation is continued. Works on orders № 185 and 186 in the workshops of the yard are continued at the same time. As for № 185,the 2nd and 3rd units are joined, the 4th unit is being prepared for aggregation with them. Workers of the shipbuilding yard “Okean” are preparing to the complete formation of the hull. Production of sections and units for further aggregation and docking is continued for the fourth vessel (№ 186). *** Construction of tugs is not an isolated investment demonstration of our company within the framework of own fleet creation. We want to remind you that the project company «POSS Torola» developed shipbuilding projects of new non-self-propelled and passenger vessels, tugs. Our company has 24 non-self-propelled vessels constructed at the yard “Ocean” – that allowed to provide work places for thousands of people (from designers and shipwrights to metallurgists) not only in Mykolayiv region, but all over Ukraine. Unfortunately, the uncertainty on the grain market and non-transparent allocation of quotas are forcing us to suspend the investment program, which includes the further construction of elevators and transshipment terminals and construction of a series of river tugs (for usage in the basins of the Dnipro and the Southern Bug), new non-self-propelled vessels and passenger vessels of “catamaran” type (everything was planned to be constructed at “Okean”). Under conditions of stabilization of situation in the domestic grain market we are very pleased to renew constructionof elevator complexes and our own fleet at Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard.
