Subassembly
The Romanian shipbuilders have started to manufacture assemblies for the units No50 (forward deckhouse) and No90 (wheel house). At SNC shipyard all the hull units were put into production, subassembly itself is at the finishing stage.
Fabrication
Port section No20 is being approved now. Next week it will be painted and placed in a dry dock to make unit No20. Starboard section No20 has already been placed in a dry dock.
Assembly and welding, pipeline assembly on the sections of the units No10, 30, 40, 60, 70 are still in progress.
The unit No80 (forward deckhouse) has been prepared for canting, soon it will be submitted for approval.
Besides, to reduce the period of Liebherr crane assembly (which will be installed on the vessel), the customer’s representatives and the shipyard representatives made a decision to carry out its assembly on the shipyard working area with its further installation on the vessel in the assembled condition.
