Construction of St.Mykolai floating crane is being continued at Santierul Naval Constanta shipyard (Constanta, Romania).
We would remind that on December 6 with participation of NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and SNC President Gheorghe Bosinceanu there was held a solemn ceremony of keel laying.
Status of construction as of December 20, 2012 is for your attention.
Metal cutting
Metal for 4 units No10, 20, 40, 70 has been cut in full. Metal cutting for the units No30, 80 is being completed; metal for the units No 50, 60, 90 has been cut by 50%.
At present the shipbuilders have cut 85% of total amount of metal meant for hull production. By December 28 metal cutting works will have been completed.
Subassembly
Production of assemblies for the sections No10 (port) and No10 (starboard) is being continued.
Fabrication
The starboard section No20 was introduced to the customer’s specialists for inspection, and hull outfit is being installed.
Works on production of port section No20 which consists of three subsections (side, bottom, and deck) are being continued.
Side subsection is assembled, welded and is ready for enlargement.
Bottom section: assembly works to install inner bottom have been completed, welding is being continued.
Deck subsection: assembly works are being continued.
Besides, there are performed works to manufacture starboard section No40 and port section No40.
Romanian shipbuilders complete works on production of ship oblong pipes; manufacture of components of engine and construction part, vertical ladders, and holes is being continued. The foundations under equipment are produced.
According to the shipyard schedule, the vessel’s launching is scheduled for February 25, 2013.
Construction completion of the floating crane is scheduled for March 25, 2013.
