A set of spring field work, namely sowing and crop tending, is being continued actively at the production divisions of “NIBULON” that are located in 12 regions of Ukraine. As of April 24th, 2012 fertilizingof winter crops in the second track was carried out (according to the method of Buznyts’kyy) at the area of ​​40 thousand hectares, which is 40% of planned areas. These works will be completed in the coming days. Reference. The method of Buznyts’kyy involves feeding of winter crops by fertilizing a soil to a depth of 3-5 cm with the help of disk grain seeder. Fertilizer dressing for corn and sunflower sowing is carried out at the same time. Currently, works are performed on agricultural lands of ​​about 7 thousand hectares (out of 28 thousand hectares planned). Our professionals carry out cultivation at the branches (in the first and second track) for sowing of cultivated and late spring crops. Works are performed on agricultural lands of 11 thousand hectares (out of 28 thousand hectares planned). Works on fall-plowing are almost completed. In this season works are done on agricultural lands of ​​24 thousand hectares. Sowing of spring barley on the area of 1600 ha is completed in full. In particular, over 800 hectares in Lugans’k region and over 200 hectares in Vinnytsya region are sown. There are sproutings on the most sowings, crop vegetation is continued. Recently sunflower seeds sowing has been started at the production divisions. As of April 24, 1 200 hectares are sowed with this crop (11% out of planned areas). “Snigurivs’ka” and “Bashtans’ka” branches were the first to start sunflower seeds sowing (both from Mykolayiv region), more than 1100 hectares of sowings, out of 1 900 hectares planned, were made during three days there. Now branches located in northern and western Ukraine, including “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’kyy” (Khmel’nyts’kyy region), “Chudnivs’ka” (Zhytomyr region) joined them. It is expected that sunflower seeds sowing will be completed at the company’s branches in early May (if weather conditions are appropriate). In the coming days corn sowing will be started as well. It is planned to sow 16.5 thousand hectares with this crop. The company plans sowing of sorghum (in an area of ​​6 thousand hectares) and soybeans (4.5 thousand hectares) in addition to sunflower and corn. Crop protection work is started along with the set of spring-field works. Soil herbicides are already applied on row-crop planting in an area of 2 thousand ha, more than 1 thousand ha of winter crops are treated against diseases and weeds. The company has renewed agricultural machinery fleet of domestic and foreign production to perform the set of works. In particular, 10 tractors, 12 seeders, 12 cultivators, 5 spraying devices and 14 fertilizer spreaders and one forage harvester were purchased. Thus, despite the fact that spring has come with a delay in the current season, the set of spring-field work will be completed by the end of the first decade of May due to coordinated work of “NIBULON’s” specialists.
