June the 3rd became sign in cooperation between “NIBULON ltd” and OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”. That day there was the solemn ceremony of keel-laying of 4 bottom sections for the first 4 out of 16 non-self-propelled dry double-holded vessels of mixed navigation (river-sea) for transportation of general and bulk cargoes that later will be delivered to NIBULON with the framework of creation of its own fleet. That event became logical continuation of realization of the biggest investment project of the agricultural company. As we informed you fleet construction is a key stage in realization of new investment project at the cost of USD 150 mln. The project, started in 2009, includes construction of seven elevators and river terminals,  with total grain storage capacity nearly 300 000 tons in Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovs’k and Zaporizhzhya regions, construction of 24 barges of mixed (river-sea) navigation with deadweight of 108 000 tons and construction and purchasing of 14 sea and river tugboats. This project realization enables to restore the existence of Dnipro transportation hub, to revive the Dnipro as Ukrainian thruway, to reduce the price of logistics, to organize its own shipping company and to create hundreds of new working places. The solemn ceremony became atypical for Ukraine today because it gathered under the roof of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” the management of customer-company and producer-company, workers of the yard which came to see the result of their own work, officials and journalists from different regions of our country: all of them were united with one idea – the idea of native economics and shipping revival, to improve image of Ukraine on the international scene. Among the guests we point out the head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration O.M. Garkusha; general director of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, the Hero of Ukraine M.P. Romanchuk; the first deputy Mukolayiv mayor Y.I. Granaturov; the director of the department of agrarian market development of Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine A.V. Rozgon; general director of Ship Register of Ukraine V.V. Sevryukov; president of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation L.P. Kozachenko; president of Ukrainian grain association V.G. Klymenko; general director of “NIBULON ltd”, the Hero of Ukraine O.O. Vadaturskyy and others.  The ceremony of keel-laying of barges (order No 155, 156, 157, 158) started from the speech of general director of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, the Hero of Ukraine M.P. Romanchuk. He greeted all the present and congratulated them on the solemn keel-laying of vessels. Next was the speech of the head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration O.M. Garkusha. He pointed out that the event is historic in psychologic aspect because during crisis people continue to work, Ukrainian metallurgists, miners and shipbuilders are involved in this project. The speech of the first deputy Mukolayiv mayor Y.I. Granaturov was also optimistic. He noted – Even if these vessels are not the biggest, they are essential. I think that they are only the first signs. So Mykolayiv city was and will be the city of shipbuilders. Next speakers were solidary with the previous. So director of the department of agrarian market development of Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine A.V. Rozgon pointed out that construction of NIBULON’s fleet will revive the shipping along the Dnipro river and will return to our country the name of sea state. General director of Ship Register of Ukraine V.V. Sevryukov noted that the vessels meet the requirements of all international Codes and Rules. President of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation L.P. Kozachenko pointed out that this event is important not only for our country but for other countries as well. Nobody remembers any Ukrainian company to order vessels to transport our, Ukrainian bread in the world. It is very important today during economic world crisis. NIBULON is the only company that received an order from U.N.O. and supplies grain for African countries. President of Ukrainian grain association V.G. Klymenko thanked the workers of agricultural sector of Ukraine and the workers of “NIBULON” for the crop 2008. “Ukrainian crop 2008 was 53 mln tons of grain. Such crop was only in 1990. We proved that can work, grow and export grain. We planned to export only 23 mln. tons of grain, but we have already exported 23 mln. tons. It is time to return to our infrastructure the Dnipro river. That is why the issue of usage of the Dnipro river for export purposes is an issue of fundamental importance for our agricultural sector and for Ukraine.” The speech of general director of “NIBULON ltd”, the Hero of Ukraine O.O. Vadaturskyy began originally. O.O. Vadaturskyy said that he is very happy to see all the present and that he took a photograph of their amused faces with pleasure. He also thanked the management and team of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” and then announced: Today being a hero of the occasion,   I am your guest and it is very pleasant for me. When our company placed an order for vessels construction I had no doubts that everything would be ok. I know that you are the best among shipbuilders.    This year we plan to invest in agricultural sector USD 150 mln. So your contribution will be about 30% from this sum. Also O.O.Vadaturskyy thanked all which help his company to realize this project. Among them are Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine, heads of Mykolayiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovs’k, Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administrations, Mykolayiv mayor. Special thanks president of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation L.P. Kozachenko and president of Ukrainian grain association V.G. Klymenko for longstanding cooperation. Because due to the activity of these organizations Ukraine has civilized grain business and sound business competition.  Today we need help very much, – went on O.O. Vadaturskyy. – It means not to prevent us.  I waste 70% of my time not for management but for support of my company’s interests. But in spite of everything I believe that on August the 15th we will meet and launch our vessels. I understand that you are short of time but I believe in you. Thank you very much. After greetings the guests carried out solemn ceremony of keel-laying of four bottom sections of barges. So O.O. Vadaturskyy, R.M. Vadaturska and A.O. Vadaturskyy attached the memorable plates to the section of yard’s order No 155, O.M. Garkusha and A.V. Rozgon attached the memorable plates to the section of yard’s order No 156, M.P. Romanchuk and Y.I. Granaturov  attached the memorable plates to the section of yard’s order No 157 and V.V. Sevryukov, L.P. Kozachenko, V.G. Klymenko attached the memorable plates to the section of yard’s order No 158. After this solemn ceremony the directors of the companies signed the Protocol about delivery and beginning of metal cutting for orders No 159, 160, 161, 162 – construction of the next four non-self-propelled dry double-holded vessels of mixed navigation (river-sea) for transportation of general and bulk cargoes. So after that the team of workshop No 1 started to cut metal for the future vessels. Then after small press conference there was excursion for the guests to make sure that the work goes according to the schedule.   Photo report
