On February 14 NIBULON’s westernmost elevator celebrates its first anniversary; “Smotrych” branch is 5 years old.   Its main achievement is a well-organized team who has not practically changed during the branch operation.   The elevator workers recollect that 5 years ago the construction of such a new powerful branch in Kamyanka village with population of about 2000 persons seemed unusual for many people.   In 2008 this construction became a real record breaker in force majeure:    “We have faced many surprises”, tells Artem Perzhyns’kyy, the director of “Smotrych” branch, who participated in the facility construction. “In the territory there have been discovered 75 armour-piercing shells of the Great Patriotic War. Besides, the company constructed its branch in the territory where agricultural chemicals had been stored. The soil at the depth of several meters contained different dangerous substances, and the locals had a number of diseases because of chemicals that harmed their health considerably. NIBULON performed a large amount of work to remove dangerous soil, to improve environmental situation on this area. All these activities were accompanied by the torrential rain. But despite any difficulties, in 78 days, having held the festivities on the occasion of the construction beginning, we took the first grain trucks.”   Most employees recollect the process of construction and the first years of the elevator operation as special times, “It was difficult and unusual to create a new branch from the very beginning”, recollects Tetyana Khabovs’ka, a chief accountant of the branch. “It is now that we have the large and powerful elevator complex but at that time we made the first steps. We had to work hard especially during its construction and the first months of the elevator operation. It was difficult but interesting. Most of us never forget that time.”   For 5 years the employees’ attitude to their work has not changed. The workers aim at developing themselves, reaching the goals as well as before, they respect and trust each other here. Undoubtedly, their own interest plays a great role in it: the average wage increases with each year, the employees are provided with the complex social support.   Viktor Pavlik, a shift foreman, worked for a contracting organization which constructed an elevator in 2008. On completing the construction he started to work for NIBULON and is sure he was not mistaken, “Our team is friendly, there is always someone to be asked for advice, everybody supports each other. Here I have a stable and deserved wage, I am appreciated, and people consider my opinion.” Three years ago Viktor had an accommodation problem. The company’s management helped him having granted a loan without interest. At present Viktor recollects his previous problems with a smile.   According to Valeriy Shklyaruk, a senior foreman of “Smotrych” branch, good organization and coordination are among the main achievements of the company. For two years Valeriy has worked in Australia. He is sure NIBULON’s organization of work can be compared only with the companies of the leading countries. There are no such analogs in Ukraine. Now Valeriy is at the head of 26 workers, “Mutual understanding, accurate understating of one’s duties and NIBULON’s goal are the main factors which help us to solve everyday tasks and go ahead.”   The elevator of “Smotrych” branch is known and appreciated not only by NIBULON. “At the end of 2012, on the Agricultural Worker’s Day, Kamyanets’-Podil’s’k District State Administration, the District Council and the District Labour Union Organization honoured Mykola Melnyk, our operator of dispatching movement and loading/unloading operations on motor transport, for honest work and significant labour achievements”, tells Artem Perzhyns’kyy who has got recognition at the regional and local levels several times. In 2009 Artem Perzhyns’kyy was acknowledged by the District State Administration in the nomination “Sponsor of the Year” on the occasion of the Entrepreneur’s Day, and in 2011 – by Khmel’nyts’kyy Regional Council for the long-term honest work and high professionalism on the occasion of the Agricultural Worker’s Day.   Recognition by the society is quite logical. Before starting the construction NIBULON paid UAH 3.7 mln to the local budget for a land plot purchase. The company has carried out a capital repair of Lenina Street and financed a number of other social projects.   For five years the average quantity of workers of “Smotrych” branch has not changed. There are 88 persons, and the amount of accepted grain increases with each year. During this period there have been taken above 589 tons of grain.   Successful activities are also ensured by cooperation with agricultural producers who increase the total output of their own commodities with each year having such a reliable partner like NIBULON in the region. In the first half of 2012-2013 marketing year (MY) the elevator has already taken about 175.69 thousand tons of agricultural crops. It is almost 5 times as many in comparison with the analogous period of 2008 and 2 times as many in comparison with the analogous period of 2010-2011 MY. According to the figures, at present the elevator is inferior to NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city and “Starobil’s’kyy” elevator which volumes of simultaneous storage are higher.  “Smotrych” branch is not going to stop at what has been accomplished. At “Smotrych” branch there is planed to perform a number of actions, namely modernization of line of agricultural commodity shipment on rail transport in order to ensure uninterrupted shipment.   “Time flies and we must not stop. It is necessary for us to develop ourselves, to improve constantly. We set ourselves the level to be overcome successfully every year. This year we are going to achieve our personal record in the amount of storage and shipment of grain on rail transport”, stresses Anatoliy Goncharuk, an engineer of the branch.   Now the branch staff is a family. In winter the workers organize skiing, and in summer they gather in a small pavilion that was built by the workers themselves in order to celebrate the important events in the company’s life. They overcome all obstacles together. According to the employees, the secret of their high achievements consists in it.   On February 14 “Smotrych” branch accepts greetings from NIBULON and its General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
