Putting into operation of the company’s most effective and much needed transshipment river terminal for Ukraine’s agrarian market is one of the most anticipated investment projects of the region. The new facility will improve the regional logistics, remove traffic load from the roads, improve the economy, providing additional income for local agrarians, significant stable revenues to district and regional budgets, new jobs and impetus for the development of many other industries.
The construction of NIBULON’s transshipment terminal of “Ternivska” branch became possible due to assistance of Kostiantyn Bryl, head of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration (2016-2019), and his team, deputy corps of the regional, district and village councils, management of the state organizations Zaporizhzhiaoblenerho and Zaporizhhas. We are grateful to all for the help in prompt resolution of technical issues and creation of a favorable investment climate in the region in order to implement our project.
NIBULON’s new investment project in Zaporizhzhia region was solemnly started on October 12, 2018 with the help of a live stream from the construction site during the 3rd International Forum for Integration and Cooperation “InCo Forum 2018”. Despite a very complex relief and geological features of the site, as well as adverse weather conditions, general construction works were performed in the traditionally record terms.  
In total, the contractors rammed about 3,500 piles (105,000 rm) (4 ferroconcrete products plants were producing piles), removed more than 400 thousand cubic meters of soil, produced 13.6 thousand cubic meters of concrete structures, concreted more than 29.4 thousand square meters, mounted 3,640 tons of metalware, as well as constructed a 150 m long  cargo berth. The company dredged about 2 km of the Ploska Osokorivka River, which ensures the approach of vessels to the transshipment terminal’s cargo berth. Over 12 km of the approach canal have been equipped with navigation aids.
The newly built terminal in Ternivka will not only provide jobs for 120 persons, but also shorten transportation costs of local agrarians. The capacities of the terminal allow it to receive 300 thousand tons of grain per year. This will remove more than 12.5 thousand trucks from the regional roads each year.
The company’s total investment in the project is about USD 23 million, and the amount of tax and non-tax payments to the budgets and non-budgetary funds from the work of “Ternivska” branch is more than UAH 5 million per year.
The arrival of the company in Ternivka was of great social significance for local residents, because it is not only new jobs with decent wages but also the investor’s responsible approach to the problems of population. At present, the specialists are laying asphalt concrete covering on rural roads with a total area of ​​more than 21 thousand square meters (about 4 km), as well as covering the rest of the roads with slag. In addition, an agreement has already been signed with a contracting organization to replace the roof of a local school. The company will also repair a house of culture with an adjacent sports complex, bring the village center to the proper condition at its own expense. A water supply project is being prepared for three socially important objects of the village: a school, a kindergarten, a club, which in turn will allow them to create proper hygienic and sanitary conditions in these institutions for children and staff.
Since 2009, NIBULON has been actively implementing its large-scale investment project, within which it has been reviving shipbuilding industry, developing navigation on the inland waterways of Ukraine, and has been actively developing its network of transshipment terminals. The project is implemented with the financial support of the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.
NIBULON’s investment project, which is supported by the European Union and international financial institutions, is a significant step towards the development of our country’s economy and an important confirmation of Ukraine’s readiness for integration into the European economy.
