Oleksiy Vadaturskyy has won the “Special Project “Hero of the Year”for his significant contribution to the protection of local community's health during the coronavirus pandemic.Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, together with healthcare workers, has won the main 2020 award. Every day they are on thefrontline fighting the COVID-19, and NIBULON’s General Director has helped them to overcome this challenge withdignity. When in 2020, Ukraine, like the rest of the world, has faced the COVID-19 pandemic, mostof the Ukrainian medical institutions were not ready for this challenge. The company’s General Director hasimmediately responded to the situation and allocated funds to help the medical sector to fight the spread ofCOVID-19. Thus, the company has started a large-scale comprehensive project covering the entireprocess of testing and treating COVID-19 patients from Mykolaiv region and Mykolaiv, adults and children. Firstly, the company organized a modern laboratory to carry out analyses for thepresence/absence of coronavirus by using the PCR method in the Mykolaiv Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministryof Healthcare of Ukraine by giving its own equipment. It can conduct up to 400 analyses per day. The next step was the reconstructionof the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Infectious Disease Treatment, a basic medical institution to fight COVID-19,which was in a terrible condition and was not ready to fight the pandemic at that time. NIBULON has turned thismedical institution into a modern medical town in 30 days, having conducted practically impossible work in such ashort period of time. In September 2020, the company has completely reconstructed the fifth infectious diseasedepartment of the Mykolaiv Regional Center of Infectious Disease Treatment on a turnkey basis. The Mykolaiv City Children’s Hospital No.2 was the next to receive assistancefrom the company. NIBULON completely repaired the medical gas supply system, installed 38 new oxygen supply pointsand 2 cryo cylinders to replace 44 ordinary oxygen tanks, as well as installed modern TV-sets in the wards. NIBULON continued to assist in fighting COVID-19. NIBULON’s standard wasimplemented in the Mykolav City Hospital No.1 which had started to treat COVID-19 patients, as the COVID pandemicworsened. NIBULON decided to divide this project into two parallel stages. The first stage included the repair and equipment of the therapeutics, rheumatology and cardiology departments.The company finished this stage in December 2020. NIBULON completed thesecond stage at the end of February. The company created a modern department to treat COVID-19 patients withpathological conditions and/or chronic diseases. The company gave protective suits (about 4,000 units), protective shields, respirators,and express tests to diagnose COVID-19 to medical institutions across Ukraine. The company purchased a functionalbed for the Troitsk Territorial Medical Association (Luhansk region). NIBULON also gave artificial lung ventilationmachines to Mykolaiv City Emergency Hospital and Holoprystanska Central District Hospital (Kherson region). Thecompany allocated funds to purchase oxygen concentrators for the Chudniv Central District Hospital (Zhytomyr region)and the Chygyryn Multipurpose Hospital (Cherkasy region).In 2020, NIBULON invested about UAH 100 million in developing Ukrainian medicine. This acknowledgement is the community’s sincerest gratitude for NIBULON’ssocial initiatives and investment in Ukraine’s medicine.We would remind you that the General Director has already won the city program. Thus,Oleksiy Vadaturskyy was acknowledged as a “Citizen of the Year” under the “Entrepreneurship”(2002), “Charity” (2004), “Philanthropist of the Year” (2006), “Investment-innovativeproject of the year” (2009), “Assistance to the Ukrainian army” (2014), and “Person of theYear” (2005 and 2007) based on the results of the “Person of the Year” city program.
