During the official keel-laying of two NIBULON’s tugs in front of the teams of both companies, Okean General Director, the Hero of Ukraine Mykola Romanchuk said, “NIBULON, having courage and being a true patriot of Mykolayiv and Ukraine, risked to place its order at Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard, though it could build vessels at foreign shipbuilding yards.
“Today this patriotic idea to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Bug as transport waterways of Ukraine has provided work not only to shipbuilders but also to builders, metallurgists and brings considerable profit to the agricultural sector”, added Mykola Romanchuk.
“We have demonstrated that we are a national company, a large agricultural producer that grows more than 300 thousand tons of gross yield, a large investor that invests in the patriotic investment program to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Bug as transport waterways and provides workplaces to tens of thousands of builders and shipbuilders”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
“The peculiarity of our program is that it does not require additional state funds and guarantees of the state for the national and foreign banks when implemented. Our patriotic program deserves to get a national status in order to be a signal for the entire bureaucratic apparatus which is groundlessly trying to prevent the project implementation”, emphasized NIBULON’s General Director.
As it was reported, the contract for construction of a series of tugs was signed on June 30, 2010. Today the shipyard is forming the hull of the prototype tug. By the end of the year the shipyard will held a keel-laying of all 6 tugs of the first series.
