Nibulon Project Notification Concerning the Disclosure of Environmental Review Summary The EBRD has been approached by Nibulon Ltd. for the partial financing of the investments in grain handling, storage and transportation infrastructure in Ukraine during 2009-2010 as follows: 1. Construction of 5 in-land/river silos with a total storage capacity of ca. 300000 t of grain and river terminals. 2. Development of river infrastructure on Dnipro river comprised of building own fleet of 12 river-sea barges and 6 tugboats. Dnipro river is currently not actively used for transportation due to its mostly obsolete infrastructure, lack of transportation and adequate and functional storage and transhipment facilities. In accordance with EBRD’s Environmental Policy, environmental investigations have been undertaken to assess the current environmental status of Nibulon facilities and operations as well as the environmental impacts of the project. The investigations showed that the project would not cause any significant environmental and social impacts.
