The delegation comprised Saxony business representatives from different industrial sectors headed by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Saxony Economic Development Cooperation, Manfred Liebl. The President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mykolaiv region, Ihor Katvaliuk, and the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Business Development Department of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mykolaiv region, Tetiana Astakhova, accompanied the German delegation. The guests visited Mykolaiv for the second time in order to establish business and long-term partnership relations as well as to familiarize themselves with the regional leading companies.The delegation visited the transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds shipments, where Oleksandr Lepko, the terminal’s director, described to the guests the principles of its operation and NIBULON’s achievements. The delegation visited the modern production and technological laboratory as well as silos with a total storage capacity of 173 thousand tons. The visitors appreciated that NIBULON transports grain to the terminal by its own river and rail transport.  The guests were particularly interested in NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The shipyard’s director, Volodymyr Zhmur, told the history of its creation and reconstruction. He also informed them about the next stage of the shipyard's modernization.  The delegation then inspected the shipyard’s production facilities, including a metal processing workshop, a metal cleaning and priming area with Rösler preservation line, a mechanical and fitter area, and an assembly fabrication workshop.  “Yes, it is good that NIBULON is developing and modernizing its shipyard. The shipyard builds vessels. NIBULON has much to be proud of”, notes Mariana Michalk, a sales manager from ORCHIDEE Europe BVBA (fire-fighting equipment production).The guests were impressed by the company’s fleet which numbers 77 units. They observed the POSS-115 project tugs and non-self-propelled vessels (NBL-90, NBL-91, BN, B2000 projects). The foreign guests participated in the launching of the newly built non-self-propelled B1500 project vessel. They watched the breaking of Champagne bottles on the vessel’s hull and congratulated the shipbuilders with this achievement by applauding them.NIBULON is well-known both in Europe and worldwide. I am impressed by the order, the well-coordinated work, and up-to-date equipment at the shipyard. The territory is clean. This testifies that everything is properly arranged. I can add that Ukraine must be proud of NIBULON’s owner who keeps things in order”, says Ihor Krupka, a co-owner of Pyrocool Ltd which supplies fire-fighting equipment to NIBULON’s shipyard. “I have been in Ukraine for three days, and this excursion is really interesting for me. The shipyard is modern, new, and is busy with shipbuilding orders. It is impressive”, shares Erik Zigmund, a representative of Edelstahlwerke Schmees GmbH (steelmaking).In order to establish economic cooperation, a Cooperation Forum was held  with the participation of Saxony business representatives, government and local government representatives, as well as companies from Mykolaiv region. NIBULON’s representatives also participated in the event. As a result of negotiations, the company’s specialists and the German party shared contact information and discussed possible future cooperation.
