December 10, 2011 “NIBULON” held a meeting, where the company’s team summarized 20 years of activity and results of the last year. Directors of all branches and deputies Director General of “NIBULON” visited the company`s transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv and familiarized themselves with the technical innovations and achievements in its work. In particular, they inspected a new modern laboratory and administrative building, got acquainted with the work of new laboratories, visited the berth during loading of the ship and saw the new loading pipes in operation that ensure no dust at shipment. A meeting of the company’s management headed by Director General, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and Deputy Director General for Trade Andriy Vadaturskyy was held before the excursion. During the meeting, results of the work in 2011 were summarized, plans for the next year were discussed (including the results of agricultural production, the work of the company’s elevators, etc.), appropriate tasks to the staff were set. Kostyantyn Khmel’nits`kyy, Deputy Director General for production, in his report summarized results of production in 2011 (collection of abstracts): – agricultural season in 2011 has become one of the most successful for our company – almost 400 thousand tons of grain has been produced, which is 21% more than in previous year (including winter wheat by 22%, sorghum by 35%, sunflower by 38% ); – a record crop of corn, about 114 thousand tons, has been harvested; – an increase in production output caused by both an extending of cultivation output (by 10%) and increasing level of grain and group of late crops yield; –  an increase of soybean cultivation output has been continued, particularly involving foreign seed selection; – the area of sorghum cultivation has been increased by 17%, total yield of this crop (with a record yield of about 50 dt/ha) in 2011 has been increased by 35% compared to the year 2010; – record yield of corn has been achieved, on average it is over 78 dt / ha; – in 2011, product yield per hectare has increased by 1.3 dt / ha (this is due to a decrease of steam space and an increase of the efficiency of each hectare processing); – maximum yield of winter wheat in 2011 has been achieved in “Pivdennyy Bug” branch (54.3 dt/ha) and maximum gross yield – in “Chygyryn” branch (more than 10 600 tons); – maximum yield of winter barley in 2011 has been achieved in “Khmil’nyk” branch (36.3 dt/ha) and maximum gross yield – in “Snigurivs’ka” branch (over 2 600 tons); – maximum sorghum yield in 2011 has been achieved in “Troyits’ka” branch (69.5 dt / ha) and maximum gross yield – in “Bilovods’ka” branch (about 4 400 tons); – maximum yield of sunflower in 2011 has been achieved in “Pryseymivs’ka” branch (35.7 dt / ha) and gross yield – in “Troyits’ka” branch (more than 3 300 tons); – maximum yield of corn in 2011 has been achieved in “Pryseymivs’ka” branch (96.5 dt/ha) and gross yield – in “Chygyryn” branch (over 21 500 tons); – “Chygyryn” branch demonstrated the best result in overall gross yield of early grain – over 12 thousand tons, of late grain – “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch (almost 24.4 thousand tons); – “Chygyryn” branch demonstrated maximum croppage for the season – almost 36.4 thousand tons. Given the economic and agricultural indicators, branch-leaders of the company were identified: RE “Lidiyivs’ke” branch won 1st place as a result of late harvesting crops in Mykolayiv region (2nd – “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch,  3rd – “Vradiyivs’ka” branch); “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch won 1st place in Vinnytsya and Zhytomyr region (2nd – “Khmil’nyk” branch, 3rd – “Bystryts’ka” branch); 1st place in Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernigiv and Sumy region was taken by “Pryseymivs’ka” branch  (2nd  – “Chygyryn” branch, 3rd  – “Suhorabivs’ka” branch); “Troyits’ka” branch won 1st  place in Lugans’k and Kharkiv region (2nd – “Bilovods’k” branch, 3rd – “Svativs’ka” branch). Directors of the branches were awarded with commemorative certificates for teams, employees of the branches were also awarded with cash bonuses. According to Oleksandr Khokhlov, Deputy Director for quality assurance and products storage, for the first time during the company’s activity all the corn of 2011 harvest was intaken and conditioned by the company’s elevator capacities, without involvement of external companies. “Vitove”, Ltd. AK “Vradiyivs’kyy” and “Khmil’nyk” branches have become this year’s record-holders in grain drying and its conditioning. “Novoodes’ka” branch has intaken grain products more then other elevators (130 thousand tons), and has shipped on non-self-propelled vessels more than others (60 thousand tons). Thus, during the meeting Oleksiy Vadaturskyy additionally announced certain plans for production in 2012 (collection of abstracts): – A smooth extension of land that is rented will be a strategy of production in 2012. Given the constant changes to the land legislation of Ukraine, which does not contribute to investment in the agricultural sector, extension will be implemented without excessive acceleration, thoughtfully. – Production diversification will be continued, cultivation of products which are in demand on world markets will be increased (including soybeans and sorghum). – The purchase of seed and crop protection agents will be carried out exclusively from companies originators and solely for import contracts, thus eliminating the intermediary. – System of bonuses for work performed will be continued and developed (and therefore increased) to encourage employees (in particular for the production of agricultural products, for maintaining its quality, for saving fuel and lubricants, for the effective return of fertilizers, etc.). The following strategic innovation in logistics will become important for the development of the company: – The company will purchase 35 «MAN» trucks (Germany), «DAF» (Netherlands), «Scania» (Sweden) in order to improve logistics, reduce the loading on railway, which will be forwarded to the branches of “NIBULON” on a centralized basis. Thus, the imported fleet of trucks will consist of 70 cars. Efficient operation will be ensured by the fact that the crew will consist of two car drivers (as required by labor law) – this will enable the car to work around the clock. – Grain cars (approximately 20 vehicles) will be developed and purchased for the company to increase efficiency and improve logistics. – By the end of 2011 the third tug of a series of POSS-115 (“NIBULON-3”) will be launched, in January-February 2012 – the fourth tug (“NIBULON-4”). Thus, by spring the fleet will consist of already four own and 2 external tugs, which will significantly accelerate the rate of water transport. – The company has already purchased a new modern dredger «Watermaster Classic IV» (Finland). In 2012, the company will conduct dredging work on the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers (waterway from the transshipment terminal of the company to Mykolayiv city) – this will allow loading non-self-propelled vessels to full capacity and will double the efficiency of water transportations. Thus the company will create a new branch, which will do clearing of the mouths of the Dnipro, the Southern Bug Rivers, creating conditions for the safety of navigation (not only for “NIBULON’s” fleet, but for other vessels sailing Ukrainian waterways). – A series of transshipment terminals and elevator complexes will be built in 2012 as a part of the implementation of the company’s investment program (particularly in Mykolayiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya region and others). The company is working at full capacity. As of today the company has already purchased 1.5 million tons of corn of a new crop.
