“NIBULON”: investments into the welfare
            On the 27th of February, 2010 according to the results of the program “Man of the Year -2009” General Director of NIBULON, Hero of Ukraine OleksiyVadaturskyy has become a “Citizen of the year” in the special nomination“Investment-innovative project of the year”. Deputy General Director of NIBULON Andriy Vadaturskyy has become a winner in the nomination “Philanthropy”.
Victory in 12 nominations was gained by the best citizens of the city. The winner in the nomination “Man of the Year” Metropolitan of Mykolayiv and Voznesens’k Pytyrym was honored individually. This year the victory also was gained in two special nominations “Investment-innovative project of the year” and “Social project of the year”.
Cultivate kindness
Deputy General Director of NIBULON Andriy Vadaturskyy has become “Citizen of the year” for the second time. In 2008, the victory was received in the nomination “Business”. This year, Andriy Vadaturskyy has become a winner in the nomination “Philanthropy”.
Honored journalist of Ukraine, the main editor of the “Vecherniy Nikolaev” Volodymyr Puchkov was entrusted to handle this honorary award. Volodymyr said that he was pleased to see “that Andriy Vadaturskyy hands on the lamp of “NIBULON” and his father’s, OleksiyVadaturskyy. There are a lot of successful and wealthy people in our city, but few people know that they should share with others. You are successful, when your city is successful and people who live next door”.
According to Andriy Vadaturskyy, this award is “primarily the merit of a remarkable collective of “NIBULON” and, of course, the Hero of Ukraine, General Director of “NIBULON” O.O. Vadaturskyy”.
Today “NIBULON” is known as a socially responsible company, which is involved in many social projects, such as purchase of computer classes and digital libraries for schools, and transfer of modern advanced equipment for medical institutions. Only in 2009 “NIBULON” has laid out 5 million UAH for financial assistance.
A. Vadaturskyy mentioned that, despite their good intentions, it is not the easiest thing to lead the business. Andriy Vadaturskyy remembered the difficult situation with the vessel «Preventer» that has been remaining off the harbor during 4 months at the port «Yuzhnyy»: “It is difficult to be engaged in philanthropy, when due to the fault of several officials our company bears the tremendous loss. In spite of all this we continue to develop. We will work and make ourselves useful to the society and country”. The audience supported the winner with thunderous ovation.
According to A. Vadaturskyy many people perceive philanthropy as nonrecoverable help. Although in a broader sense of the word philanthropy it is a good, benefit. During the time of its existence “NIBULON” created something new. We did not participate in privatization, we did not use those facilities that were built by Soviet Union. We created new work places, new infrastructure. Probably everybody already knows about our unique investment project that the company implements successfully during the year: the construction of fleet and elevators, the development of Dnipro River. The main goal of our work is to bring the benefit to people and society.
Investment project – to the “Red Book”!
Experts and organizations of the city suggested the special nomination “Investment-innovative project of the year”. Two Heroes of Ukraine General Director of “NIBULON” OleksiyVadaturskyy and General Director ofOJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” Mykola Romanchukhave gained the victory in this nomination.
Mayor of Mykolayiv city Volodymyr Chaika congratulated the winners: “At a time when everybody says that there is economic crisis, banks do not give credits, Ukrainian shipbuilding is dying, two Heroes of Ukraine implement investment-innovative project for the welfare of our Ukraine and home city. According to the mayor, such a unique, for our times, project should be listed into the “Red Book”.
