Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation on December 21, 2011 held a roundtable on the problematics of the draft law № 9001-D “On Land Market” with participation of heads and specialists of land rights, a number of leading agricultural companies and experts. Deputy Director General of “NIBULON” on legal and economic issues Andriy Vasylyev was among the participants. During the discussion, Andriy Vasylyev pointed out that it is necessary to provide in this bill the fact that owners of agricultural land may be legal persons, who according to the law of Ukraine are agricultural producers, created without the participation of foreign capital and not bounded by control relationships with foreign nationals, stateless persons, foreign legal entities and foreign states that are engaged in agriculture over the past 5 years prior to enactment of this Law, including farms. During the roundtable members and partners of UAC, agricultural enterprises made other important comments to the draft law. All of them will be included in the list of amendments that are sent to subjects of legislative initiative for their immediate inclusion in the consideration of the draft law № 9001-D “On Land Market” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the second reading, which is scheduled for January 10-13, 2012.
