NIBULON has a Clear Vision for the Future Rather Than Lives for Today. NIBULON’s Management Met with Representatives from Kherson State Maritime Academy

On October 9, representatives from Kherson State Maritime Academy, namely Sergiy Dudchenko, a director of Kherson Maritime Specialized Training Center, and Oleksandr Solovei, a head of shipboard training department at Kherson State Maritime Academy, visited NIBULON. They met with NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
During the meeting, they discussed the youth employment and practical training at NIBULON’s shipping company.
In addition, the company organized an excursion at its facilities in Mykolaiv. The guests familiarized themselves with the shipyard and transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds shipments. They also went aboard NIBULON’s vessels and managed to observe workplaces for their graduates.
Dmytro Gorbenko, a director at NIBULON’s shipbuilding and repair yard, Andriy Volik, Deputy General Director of Fleet Construction, Fleet Operation and Navigation Safety, and Larysa Buryk, Deputy General Director of Personnel, met the representatives from KSMA at the shipyard. At the beginning, the guests observed production capacities. NIBULON’s representatives told about the shipyard’s activities, reconstruction and modernization as well as planned workload for the next three years. The guests were pleasantly surprised. Then they observed construction works at the building berth. The representatives visited a slipway as well.
The transshipment terminal also impressed the guests. They found out principles of its operation and the full cycle to serve transport at the terminal’s territory. The visitors observed grain storage domes, which ensure a unique technology of high-quality grain storage.
The experts were particularly interested in the vessels built by NIBULON’s shipyard. The guests went onboard NIBULON 100 docking tug (T3500 project) and NIBULON MAX 140-m floating vessel, where they visited domestic spaces, captain’s bridge, engine room, and others. They also got to know the vessel’s control systems.
“I put my heart and soul into NIBULON MAX vessel. I personally participated in solving all the issues connected with its construction from the initial stage till putting into operation. Despite any situations appeared during the construction, we made everything in order to solve them quickly and efficiently. I participated in decorating and equipping the vessel at the final stage. The main goal was to make NIBULON MAX comfortable for people. It was very important to do everything timely and qualitatively. There are specialists among our employees who used to build aircraft-carriers. They described the difference in living conditions for the crew, created on board other vessels. Experienced seamen choose to work for NIBULON because of qualitative and comfortable vessels. Having seen our fleet and worked on board our vessels, the youth cannot compare these comfortable conditions with anything else”, tells NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy during negotiations.
It should be mentioned that the guests paid attention to every detail while observing the vessels. They were especially impressed by the vessel’s equipment and interior decoration on board the 140-m NIBULON MAX.
“At present it is almost impossible to see modern and high-capacity equipment on board the Ukrainian vessels. NIBULON’s vessels are equipped with this equipment.  We are particularly impressed by space on board the vessel, created for comfortable operation and living. We have worked for many world companies which aim at equipping the vessels to the maximum, leaving less space. Now we realize that it can be combined. It is a real pleasure to work on board this vessel. It is a world class level in terms of space arrangement. The use of wood instead of plastic is worth mentioning”, mentions Sergiy Dudchenko, a KMSTC director. NIBULON is a desired workplace both for the youth and experienced specialists. The representatives from Kherson Maritime State Academy managed to see it with their own eyes. At the end of the meeting, the guests thanked Oleksiy Vadaturskyy for the excursion. Sergiy Dudchenko added, “It is a pleasure for us to attend your facilities. We are pleasantly surprised. We are aware of the shipbuilding situation in our country. NIBULON’s activities give us hope. We are filled with positive emotions. It is obvious that NIBULON has a clear vision for the future rather than lives for today. Ukraine requires these very things.”
