Leonardo Makedonskiy, a Facebook user, has recently posted a video about an allegedly desolated area on the Vitove branch transshipment terminal territory (Cherkasy region).We officially announce that this video is manipulative and biased. Its author is a former employee at the branch, who constantly violated labor discipline. His behavior was not compatible with NIBULON’s working principles. Consequently, he is interested in publishing biased information about the branch. NIBULON’s principal position is to preserve the environment and adhere to high environmental standards and modern environmentally friendly technologies when developing modern infrastructure. When constructing and operating Vitove branch transshipment terminal, as well as other facilities, NIBULON adheres to all ecological safety standards to preserve the unique Chygyryn nature.The facility in Vitove village is NIBULON’s first river transshipment terminal. In 2008, the company purchased an area with unfinished buildings that belonged to Chygyryn Nuclear Power Plant which had not been constructed. Because of unfavorable soil conditions (the conclusion of Cherkasy Scientific, Research and Design Institute of Land Management SE 00012.pdf), a number of works to reinforce the riverbank with concrete plates were conducted when constructing the Nuclear Power Plant. The pine trees fell into the river, washed by the water.NIBULON keeps the territories at its facilities in correct conditions. Vitove branch is a desirable site to view. During these years the company has been taking care of not only its territory but also a neighboring one where a children's beach is located. In order to prevent beach pollution, the branch employees installed rubbish containers.It is a very important facility in terms of environment protection. The Dnipro River is our freshwater artery that must be protected. NIBULON comprehensively controls the facility operations and ensures the adherence to all environmental aspects: – an environmental approach to separately collect production waste to be used for the company’s own needs or recycled as secondary raw material. The company produces briquettes from its own raw material;-domestic sewage water is discharged by the local sewage system to be biologically treated at  water treatment facilities; – rainwater, melt water, and wash water are gathered and cleansed of oil products. It is collected in the artificially created biological ponds to water lawns;- the company implements modern technologies to preserve the environment, namely a closed technology to transport grain cargoes, the installation of polluted air aspiration systems, the use of dust removal equipment meeting the world’s highest standards, and the arrangement of green areas. The important thing is that the company increases cargo transportation by environmentally friendly waterways, thereby reducing man-made impact from trucks;-  prevention of natural resources depletion (tree planting and fish stoking in the areas where the company builds its facilities). Since the company commenced operations in the water area of the Vitove branch cargo berth, it stocked the Kremenchuk Reservoir with fish as well as planted trees and bushes. Implementing its investment project, NIBULON stocked the Dnipro, the Southern Buh, the Kakhovka Reservoir, the Kaniv Reservoir, the Kremenchuk Reservoir, the Dnipro Reservoir with 60.7 tons of silver carp, grass carp, carp at the sites where the company constructs its elevators. NIBULON is practically the only company that stocks rivers itself to prevent natural resources depletion, instead of paying costs as part of compensatory measures.The company allocated UAH 324.5 million to preserve the environment and make ecological payments to the budgets of all levels during 2009-2019.In order to prove NIBULON’s responsible attitude, we add the picture of the Vitove branch transshipment terminal territory. Consequently, any slander or biased information can be easily denied by checking information and showing real facts.
