During the Knowledge Day, on September 1, the leading agricultural company of Ukraine, the leader of agricultural production of the country – “NIBULON” presented three schools of Mykolayiv city with modern multimedia classrooms equipped with an interactive board and software to improve the educational process. It is a traditional gift to the sponsored educational institutions presented by “NIBULON and its founder, the General Director and Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
During the last six years pupils in 56 schools all across the country managed not only to diversify lessons but also to achieve good results thanks to “NIBULON’s” priceless presents. In particular, in Mykolayiv city, due to the company’s support there were established about 40 computer classrooms with interactive modern technologies for 4 thousand of children. Due to this action pupils of the sponsored schools win different contests regularly. And 8 thousand of parents need not worry about quality of education in these educational institutions.
Volodymyr Chayka, the mayor of Mykolayiv city, announced about the start of the local project “Computer classroom – in every school” six years ago. But among large companies only “NIBULON” headed by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy agreed to help schools and provide them with all necessary equipment regularly.
“For six years the company has done its best in order this program to continue and become the program “Computers – in every classroom”. It is very important for us that “NIBULON” has taken the responsibility realizing that investments in science and children always give a positive result for the society and the country in whole”, mentioned Volodymyr Chayka. According to him if “NIBULON’s” example was followed by other Mykolayiv companies and every company purchased at least one such a system it would improve an educational process considerably. “I will motivate other companies to join this initiative, as they do not understand yet that these are investments in children, in our future”, added the mayor.
In his turn, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy said, “We help schools not under orders but we do it in all sincerity. It is a style of our company. We must be leaders not only in our sector but those who receive our support must also achieve the best results. This help is not a part of an election talk. I am not going to the Parliament because I realize: I can help people more while doing my business”. According to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy the specific weight of patronage assistance in the company’s budget is about 10% of wage fund.  “Annually we allocate about UAH 16 mln to children’s, medical institutions, and schools”, announced Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. Charity and social programs of the company are an integral component and important factor due to which the company is in the lead of different entrepreneurial ratings of a successful agribusiness.
“Today we show in practice the way Ukraine should be built for people and demonstrate in practice what should be done for our children – our future – so that they study in the first-class schools in order not to search for paid institutions and go abroad. I, being the general director of the company, do not conduct any election talk, I do not participate in any debate, political race or election campaign. I help children at schools in those towns and villages where our company works so that they will have a good future and come to work in “NIBULON”, added he.
This year, on September 1, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy attended three sponsored schools in Mykolayiv city – No24, 51, and 57. The comprehensive secondary schools No24 and 51 received multimedia classrooms with new modern equipment and furniture. The classrooms are equipped so that children who do not have any access to the computer at home will get an opportunity to do their homework after school, to prepare papers, to search for a literature and the school-leavers will have an opportunity to prepare for the external independent testing undergoing the trial testing.
In Mykolayiv school No57 there were equipped the first in the city language laboratories for the first formers and seniors. Due to this “NIBULON’s” present even the first formers can study foreign languages while listening to native speakers. Besides, this school received a reconstructed gym. The total amount of assistance to three schools is about UAH half a million.
Traditionally, the computer classrooms have been already presented to the best teachers. “The best teachers of geography, informatics, the best teacher of mathematics, all the teachers being the best in Mykolayiv city have computer classrooms. The best teachers whose children became the winners of city, regional, and districts contests received computer classrooms”, mentioned Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
At first, new technological classrooms will become the main teacher assistants.  “This classroom gives children an opportunity to travel through time and space. We will use the Internet, literary sites, electronic libraries to make our lessons more interesting. Such an interactive board will stimulate children to study better. It will replace thousands of schemes and tables lying in our wardrobes”, thanks Natalya Mukan, the teacher of Mykolayiv school No 51, who has received the multimedia classroom this year.
Those teachers who have already tested all advantages of modern technologies for the educational process admit that due to “NIBULON’s” presents the children’s progress is increasing considerably. “Only last year we had three school-leavers who received 198 points out of 200 possible in the external independent testing in Ukrainian language and literature. It is an essential breakthrough. I think the next school year their achievements will be higher”, says Natalya Freyuk, the teacher of Ukrainian language and literature of Mykolayiv school No24. According to Evgeniy Masyuta, the director of Mykolayiv school No51, due to modern technologies the school’s rating in the district increases annually. The number of contest winners, for example from 2007 to 2012, increased from 14 to 44 pupils. “The teachers have improved their skill level too. If five years ago only 38% of teachers were familiar with modern methods of teaching then at present this index is 77%”, added E.Masyuta.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy mentioned that the pupils’ progress is the best gratitude to him. “It is pleasant for me when children of every sponsored school become winners of city, regional, republican contests and when they reach the highest achievements in sport. The teachers’ reports about achievements of their pupils are the best gratitude for my deeds. It testifies that my work is useful: I grow bread and help children to be the future of our country”, he said.
The parents having received the modern computer classrooms expressed their particular gratitude to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. “Thanks to “NIBULON” our school changed greatly for the last years. I hope that due to those presents, provided by the company, due to those new technologies we could not even dream about our children will have thirst for knowledge. As when there is no thirst for knowledge none of the teachers even the most talented can teach a child”, says Elena Men’kovich-Slobodyanyuk, a pupil’s mother of Mykolayiv school No24.
“Every year we are waiting for September 1 because we know that “NIBULON” will prepare new surprises for us. For the last 4 years we received 7 interactive classrooms. Due to these classrooms our pupils try to make progress. Everyone tries to use an interactive board. When using this board the lessons are more interesting and time passes faster then in the ordinary classrooms”, adds the tenth former Iryna Red’ko.
In response to words of thanks Oleksiy Vadaturskyy mentioned that all achievements of pupils can be converted into the prestige, high-tech, well-paid work in “NIBULON”. “Those who cast in lot with “NIBULON” can fulfill themselves in navigation, shipbuilding, construction, agricultural sector, and computerization. Every year we receive up to 60 thousand of summaries on different positions and we have an opportunity to choose the best. We have modern harvesters, tractors and it is obviously that only skilled machine operators must operate them. We have up-to-date elevator technologies without dust, mud and strange smells. Only a highly-skilled specialist must work there”, mentioned O. Vadaturskyy. Up to 30% of school-leavers of the sponsored schools, inspired by the success of “NIBULON” and Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, being nominated for the World Food Prize, enter agrarian departments of the Ukrainian Universities. “We do not agitate them, they just look at me, at our company’s experience and they want to be successful”, O. Vadaturskyy explains such a tendency. He also added that while reviving and improving the system of education, attracting the best specialists “NIBULON” will also contribute to the implementation of its own large-scale patriotic investment project on the revival of the Dnipro and the Southern Bug rivers as navigable waterways of the country.
