There is another piece of fake news about NIBULON – an interview with O. Firmaniuk, “a smuggler” about smuggling, as he was described by a journalist …
“If the cap fits, wear it” was the first thing that came to my mind having read this interview. What else can be thought, if a person states that everybody, including our company and other renowned companies, are smugglers? We can only guess what he was talking about, as there were no facts, evidence, or other confirmations. He decided to enumerate all the renowned companies and even made the so-called rating. Having taken last position at his rating, he declared himself “a victim” of customs officers; it is allegedly easier for M.Nephiodov to put pressure on him. The companies like NIBULON are a hard nut to crack. He mentioned, “…everything that is called smuggling is taxation optimization…There is a system where you either accept the existing conditions (i.e. bribes, kickbacks, and optimization) or you leave business activity…”  Otherwise, swear black as white and vice versa.
We are not used to distorting information and, moreover, we have been proving that it is possible to work honestly, transparently and within the limits of the legislation under any conditions. We are against of any law violation and shadow business.

NIBULON has invested more than USD 2.1 billion in Ukraine’s economy. We have created the best logistics system. The company has the most up-to-date cargo fleet in the country. People and, above all, controlling authorities pay much attention to the leaders. They carefully check all our operations. If we had violated the law, we would have faced enormous penalties, including the property seizure, etc. Why do we need this?
We honestly and responsibly pay all the taxes and dues. This can be proved by our repeated victories in the All-Ukrainian “Prompt taxpayers” rating, in particular under the “Prompt taxpayers in the agrarian sector – profits taxpayer” category. In 2018-2019, the company paid UAH 1.58 billion of taxes and dues to the state and local budgets.
In addition to the state controlling authorities, foreign audit companies have been regularly inspecting NIBULON for 20 years. A long-term cooperation with the world’s leading financial institutions, such as the EBRD, the European Investment Bank, the International Finance Cooperation, proves NIBULON’s high standards and transparency in doing business.
NIBULON is one of a few Ukrainian trading companies, for which grain suppliers consist of agricultural producers (85%) and wholesale suppliers (15%) who buy grain only from agricultural producers, without involving additional dealers. The price formation when supplying agricultural commodities for export is performed in accordance with an “arms-length” principle, meeting the legislative requirements and transfer price formation rules. This is NIBULON’s method to struggle against the shadow market when exporting grain.
NIBULON is the only Ukrainian company which grain export control system allows any employee from the State Fiscal Service to audit grain movement online from a supplier to a consumer outside the country.
A border checkpoint for the international marine state connection operates round-the-clock at the NIBULON’s transshipment terminal territory in Mykolaiv. NIBULON uses “a single office” principle to perform border, customs, and other types of control of persons, vehicles, and other cargoes through the state border. We are proud of this activity.
We import 100% of the oil products used by NIBULON. We don’t buy fuel in the domestic market. For the past year, the company paid UAH 180 million of excise tax. 
These are just few examples which prove that NIBULON and smuggling are totally incompatible.
