The international forum aimed at solving tasks and problems of the agrarian sector of the region, promoting the best sector models, introducing investment and innovation projects of companies of the agro-industrial sector as a way of Ukraine’s integration in the international market institutions. The main subject matter was the issues as to investment in the agro-industrial complex, agricultural insurance, storage, processing and selling of agricultural products, bioenergetics technologies. In particular, there were discussed the following thematic sections: plant growing and products after processing; animal husbandry; organic agriculture; biofuel technologies in the agrarian sector. The ways to implement modern technologies in agribusiness were discussed with participation of the representatives of the local authorities and local self-government, the Agrarian Exchange, judicial and bank institutions, the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine, scientific and research institutions, laboratories. Andriy Volik, NIBULON’s deputy general director of safety navigation, introduced NIBULON at the exhibition. He familiarized the guests with the company’s investment project aimed at reviving navigation in the country by reviving the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers and other rivers of Ukraine as transport waterways of Ukraine. The components of the program are construction of cargo fleet, construction of transport infrastructure for storage and shipment of grain, dredging on the limiting parts of waterways, etc. Andiy Volik noted the stages of the program implementation, familiarized the participants with NIBULON’s ready-built elevator complexes and transshipment terminals, its own cargo fleet. He told about cooperation with Kyiv and Kherson Regional State Administrations as an example of successful implementation. He paid particular attention to NIBULON’s plans as to construction of the second transshipment terminal in Zaporizhzhya city, in Bilenke village (the first one is “Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka” branch). He stressed that at present the process of a contact registration for a land plot lease was in process. Telling about NIBULON’s investment project, Andriy Volik described the current condition of Ukraine’s marine economic complex paying particular attention to the amount of cargo and passenger transportation by river transport. He mentioned that at present the Dnipro River transport potential, which had been one of the most loaded waterways of Europe, was not used practically, and cargo transportation by water had been decreased by 18 times, passenger transportation – by 19 times for the last years. Thus, NIBULON itself has developed a project of dredging on the limiting rifts in the Dniprovs’k and Dniprodzerzhyns’k Reservoirs as a practical way to revive navigation on the Ukrainian waterways. Its goal is to increase the amount of cargo carriage by water transport, to revive passenger navigation on the Dnipro River. Among the expected results are to open the Dnipro River for investors, to decrease cost of cargo transportation, to increase profitability of cargo carriage by water transport. Finishing his speech, Andiy Volik familiarized with the company’s future plans, namely completion of St.Nicholas floating crane construction, further construction of cargo fleet and transshipment terminals.
