Kozatska branch received 2 million tons of agricultural commodities. It plans to demonstrate a 3-million-ton result next year.

NIBULON’s transshipment terminal, located in the territory of Kozatske town (Beryslav district, Kherson region), continues achieving record results for receiving grain and oilseeds.  The facility received its first million tons of agricultural commodities in the fourth year of operation. Kozatska branch has received 2 million tons of grain crops this year.
Since it commenced operations, Kozatska branch achieved record grain shipments by water transport, and it is more than 2 million tons. Thus, by using water transportation from the transshipment terminal in Kherson region, the company removed more than 83 thousand trucks from the highways. In the first half of the current marketing year, Kozatska branch has loaded about 100 non-self-propelled vessels with more than 295 thousand tons of agricultural commodities, and the share of shipments by truck has been only 0,2%.
“We are not going to stop at what has been accomplished. Achievements make us develop more ambitious plans for the future”, mentions Zakhar Medvedev, the branch director.
Since NIBULON put this facility into operation, the branch has received about 1.039 million tons of wheat, 433 thousand tons of barley, 359 thousand tons of corn, 139 thousand tons of rapeseed, 37.6 thousand tons of sorghum, more than 78 thousand tons of soybean, and 9 thousand tons of sunflower seeds. These products are mostly from agricultural producers from Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, some districts of Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions. At present, more than 300 suppliers work with Kozatska branch.
According to Zakhar Medvedev, the branch director, we managed to achieve these results due to the modern and high-tech equipment at the facility, reliable partners as well as well-coordinated team work.
“During its activities, the branch has faced both success and challenges, but the team is always united by a common aim, i.e. to ensure the receipt, storage, and shipment of grain. Thus, every division and every employee make an effort to reach a common aim. The employees’ commitment has become a guarantee of the branch good standing and has ensured high operational results.
We would remind you that the Kozatska branch transshipment terminal was put into operation in 2012. Its construction became the first stage of NIBULON’s investment project to revive the Dnipro and the Southern Buh as navigable transport arteries in Ukraine. In 2017, taking into account its good standing with farmers, the company has increased the branch capacity by constructing additional silos to store agricultural commodities. The transshipment terminal can store 92 thousand tons of grain simultaneously.
The facility is equipped with up-to-date equipment from the leading producers, in particular Cimbria Unigrain A/S transport equipment as well as silos produced by SCAFCO (the USA) and SYMAGA (Spain). NIBULON installed modernized MC 3180 6 sectional dryers with a capacity of about 75 tons per hour (Mathews Company, the USA). NIBULON’s specialists carried out technical re-equipment. Kozatska branch has a unique laboratory and administrative building with equipment that enables the facility to quickly and qualitatively analyze products. It is equipped with Infratec-1241 grain analyzers (Switzerland), Rakoraf grain samples and thermal drying ovens (Germany), INSTALAB-600 infrared analyzers (the USA), etc.
