Accompanied by NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and Chief Financial Officer Olha Babanina, Rafal Golebiowski familiarized himself with the technological processes and principle of work of the transshipment terminal. In 2018, a new complex for shipment of grain and oilseeds with a capacity of about 43,000 tons was built and put into operation as part of the terminal with the financial support of the IFC. It increased the total capacity of the terminal’s granaries to 173,000 tons.
During the business visit, IFC’s Investment Officer also visited NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, where he familiarized himself with the shipyard’s production program and new planned projects. He also went on board NIBULON MAX floating crane, which was launched for outfitting in May. This is the longest order in the shipyard’s history and an absolutely new higher level of the company’s shipbuilding capacities. The 140-m vessel is being constructed with the financial support of the IFC.
Over 27 years of its activity, NIBULON enjoys the confidence of foreign banks and works with many leading international financial institutions. Within their export development programs and energy-saving projects, money is allocated for logistics improvements in Ukraine. The International Finance Corporation (a member of the World Bank Group) has been working with the leader of Ukraine’s agrarian market since 2012. In particular, in 2017/18 MY, NIBULON signed a USD 120 million loan agreement with the IFC to strengthen agri-related infrastructure, to reduce crop losses, and to boost global food security.
