On the occasion of NIBULON’s 21st anniversary, the organization and quality control department together with the production and technological laboratory of the transshipment terminal (Mykolayiv city) made a pleasant present in the form of a Certificate of Accreditation according to DSTU ISO/IEC 17025:2006 (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) given by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine. DSTU ISO/IEC 17025:2006 (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) standard “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” (hereinafter referred to as standard) specifies general requirements for the competence of personnel during testing and calibration of agricultural products, including selected samples. It regulates testing, calibration according to standardized and non-standardized methods developed by the laboratory. The given standard confirms the laboratory competence and its ability to ensure technical validity of the results. Testing and calibration laboratories which use quality control system according to the standard also operate in compliance with the principles of the International standard ISO 9001:2008.   As NIBULON is an export-oriented company, thus, its management is required to pay more attention to the quality of exported products and to obtain guarantees about receipt of valid data to be accepted by other players of the grain market. During many years the company actively cooperates with the leading survey companies to improve competence of the specialists of the organization and quality control department and NIBULON’s production and technological laboratories.   Consequently, by means of accreditation NIBULON’s management decided to implement quality control system in the production and technological laboratory of the transshipment terminal which will control formation of grain parcels and control contract execution.   Preparation for accreditation was held step-by-step. Firstly, the specialists of the organization and quality control department and production and technological laboratory of the transshipment terminal studied the requirements and regulations of the standard. There was held an initial audit to evaluate a stage of their preparation.   The given training was held by the engineers of Slovakia company EKO-TERM SERVIS that allowed to evaluate the laboratory operation fairly.   The next stage of the standard implementation was training of specialists to become internal auditors and carrying out general internal audit that gave an opportunity to appraise the level of laboratory preparation for accreditation.   At the same time NIBULON’s specialists underwent training by the program “Use of software “Uncertainty 1.6” and “Control charts 3.2” to evaluate uncertainty of measurements and to process results of internal laboratory quality assurance”. Successful implementation and training of the staff were carried out in September 2012 by the representatives of Euro-Academy Training Center.   Later it was concluded that the production and technological laboratory is ready for accreditation. In July 2012 the specialists of Slovakia independent company MM TEAM sro checked and confirmed the laboratory readiness for accreditation according to the standard!   The Certificate of Accreditation testifies competence of production and technological laboratory of the transshipment terminal when carrying out physical-chemical and molecular-genetic tests of grain, leguminous and oil crops. The Certificate allows the company to render services to determine agricultural commodity quality (giving the appropriate quality certificates) to third-party organizations.   The international certification is worldwide recognition of NIBULON’s professionalism. Compliance with the modern requirements of the agrarian market helps to develop NIBULON’s global marketing.
