11.04.06 Information on spring land works at “Nibulon Ltd.”Information on sowing: As at 08.04.2006, sowing of spring barley has been fully completed in the Company’s branches in Nikolaev region. 4500 hectares were sowed with this crop. Since 10.04.2006, the Company’s branches in Vinnitsa, Lugansk, and Kharkov regions started sowing. They are to complete sowing on 3500 hectares. In total, it is planned to sow 8000 hectares with this crop in the Company’s branches. Application of mineral fertilizers: As at 10.04.2006, all branches of “Nibulon Ltd.” completed the first plant food of winter crops on the total area of 10800 hectares. 60% of the total area were fertilized by agricultural aviation. The works were completed within short term. Starting 12.04.2006, the branches in Nikolaev region have been proceeding with the second plant food of winter grains by Buznitskyy method. Plant food of spring barley on the area of 600 hectares has been completed; fertilizing of sunflower plantings is being conducted. Some of these days, fertilizing of maize plantings with liquid ammonia will be started in the branches “Pribuzhanovskiy”, “Lidievskiy”, and “Vradievskiy”. In order to complete this technological operation, the Company purchased three aggregates “АША-2”. Sowing of tilled crops: Since 12.04.06, sowing of tilled crops (maize, sunflower) has started in the branches “Snigirevskiy” and “Bashtanskiy”. The total area under the tilled crops in the mentioned branches is 2550 hectares, including 2100 hectares under sunflower and 450 hectares under maize. In general, the planned area for sowing tilled crops at “Nibulon Ltd.” is 13200 hectares, including 6900 hectares under sunflower and 6300 hectares under maize. Sowing is planned to be completed within short term using high-quality sowing seeds. Among the purchased hybrid sowing seeds, the major share is constituted by sowing seeds from leading world companies-producers, such as «Pioneer», «Monsanto – Ukraine», «AG Seed KFT» , as well as from leading domestic companies: “Sady Ukrainy”, “Zorya Mais Nasinnya”, and others. As at 25.05.2006, the production branches of “Nibulon Ltd.” completed the complex of spring land works. The sowed area is: spring barley – 8085,9 hectares, maize – 6529,7 hectares, sunflower – 6732,6 hectares. Herbicides were applied to plantings of grains on 90% of the total area. Top dressing of winter wheat plantings was organized. As at 02.06.2006, herbicides were applied to plantings of maize on 1530 hectares, plant food of tilled crops was completed on 2650 hectares. Currently, cultivation works with tilled crops, the first intercultivation with application of complex and nitrogen fertilizers, and application of herbicides are conducted.
