As spring weather has stabilized, the field works in the branches have prompted. It is a high time for every agronomist to make a well-weighted decision on each technical operation, taking into consideration regional disposition of each branch, to perform the most important field works in the shortest possible time, to lay the foundation for the future crop of the current year. Up to now we have sown different spring cultures. We have sown more than 4000 ha, performed the first-stage control, and glad to declare we have health young crops at the majority of our territories. Simultaneously a year food base for branches that are engaged in livestock farming are created: we have sown annual grasses, grain legumes mixtures for green feed-stuff. We have also refreshed the fields of permanent grasses. We have broadened the fields under feed-stuff grasses up to 1300 ha, that completely satisfies the needs of branches in the current season. In the second decade of April the branches started to sow sunflower. Mainly the branches of the southern region, where the temperature of soil allows, are engaged in this work. The branches in the rest of the regions make prompt preparations for sowing of the late spring cultures. Here sowing is belated in order to minimize risks of the ground frosts. We have already sown sunflower on the 2000 ha, that makes 20% of the planned 9900 ha. In general we plan to sow approximately 23000 ha that exceeds last year rate on 24%. We keep on fertilizing crops of sunflower and corn; we have already done 65% of the planned territories. The second fertilizing of the spring crops is done. It should be mentioned, that all the required material resources were purchased despite the world financial downturn. The purchase of the tillers and sprayers of the German company „LEMKEN” among many other purchases of the winter period is a good example of the stability of the company. Currently 6 brand new highly-productive sprayers „Albatros – 30/В27-28” are engaged in branches on field protective works. We have already received positive comments on proper work of these machines. Combines „Smaragd – 9/600КА” are prepared to take part in cultivation of lands, that rested last year and new lands, rented this year. As above mentioned, the appliance of pesticides takes place on the background of active field works. We have already applied pesticides on more than 20000ha to protect young crops from diseases and wheat bug. This is only the small part of the performed works. For rational machinery usage we plan and move it to the northern branches.
