Namely on the Snihurivska branch NIBULON’s team on demining managed a non-technical survey of territories, gathering all necessary information about the condition of contamination of lands with explosive objects. Specialists studied the level of contamination of the territories and set the list of areas, where there were no hostilities and which are not contaminated with explosive objects in fact. Therefore, almost 1500 hectares were already processed and submitted the corresponding report to the Mine Action Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine regarding unblocking of these territories.The full demining of the Snihurivska branch means unblocking of the one fifth of all contaminated with explosive objects NIBULON’s lands. The most important – it will give local citizens the opportunity to return to their workplaces and feed their families, simultaneously restoring houses destroyed in pieces by ruscists and gradually returning to their peaceful life.While the Snihurivska branch is under demining, other areas potentially contaminated with explosive objects are located in the combat operation zone or in its immediate vicinity. This makes humanitarian demining impossible until the liberation of these territories and the end of shellingThe main problem for demining is shelling, because in case of managing a survey of the territory and it will come under shelling in the future – there will be required a repeated survey. Another problem is that humanitarian demining, according to the legislation, performs at the distance of 20 km from the front line. This sets bounds to NIBULON’s sappers in demining areas. Part of our fields in the Snihurivka region are located not far from ex locations of ruscists – that is why they need to be very careful during the survey of the territories.NIBULON increases paces of demining, is reinforced with new special equipment and help of state sappers, our team inspects Ukrainian fields from the very morning until late at night – and all that our people be able return to their peaceful life as soon as possible, cultivate their lands without fear, grow Ukrainian grain and restore Ukrainian economy with hard work.
