Consul of Ukraine in Switzerland and President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine visited NIBULON’s “Pereyaslavs’ka” Branch

Recently, Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, and Andrej Nicholas Lushnycky, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation, Head of the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland, European Representative in the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee (the USA), have visited NIBULON’s river transshipment terminal of “Pereyaslavs’ka” branch located on the Dnipro River. Volodymyr Klymenko, NIBULON’s Deputy General Director for Interaction with Public Authorities, and Artem Novokhatko, “Pereyaslavs’ka” branch director, held a business meeting with them.
It should be mentioned that the honorary guests are aware that NIBULON acts as a domestic agrarian producer, investor, exporter and shipbuilder and that it has initiated the revival of river navigation in Ukraine. Consequently, while familiarizing themselves with the facility’s capacities to store agricultural commodities and process grain receipts, the guests were engaged in a constant dialogue with NIBULON’s specialists. They were interested in the agricultural production situation in Ukraine as well as its prospects to grow 100 million tons of grain crops in the near future. The guests visited the production and technological laboratory and inspected the equipment installed there. The terminal received a truck loaded with wheat during their visit. They therefore managed to see the laboratory analyses and processes to grade the grain. Olga Petrenko, a laboratory head, answered all their questions concerning the processes.
The branch staff demonstrated the principles of drying, dust cleaning and other equipment to their guests.
At present, the terminal is receiving early grain crops. Artem Novkhatko noted that the terminal has already received almost one million tons of grain crops since it was opened in 2012. The terminal has effectively removed more than 39.5 thousand trucks from Ukrainian roads, as all the grain it receives is transported to NIBULON’s sea terminal in Mykolaiv or to the outer roads by water. This not only saves community funds used to repair road surfaces but also reduces the shipping cost considerably, thus enabling the company to offer agrarians a fair price for their agricultural commodities.
The increase in agricultural commodity transportation by water is one of NIBULON’s business priorities. The company transports 3.5 million tons of cargoes per year by inland waterways, and transportation by water represents almost 60 % of NIBULON’s cargo logistics.
Having familiarized themselves with the transshipment terminal operations, the guests visited NIBULON’s corn on the fields located not far away from the facility.  The guests were satisfied with what they saw.
Andy Hunder stated on Facebook that he was proud that the representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce visited “Pereyaslavs’ka” branch located on the Dnipro River. “NIBULON is a leading Ukrainian agrarian company, being engaged in the production and the export of wheat, barley, corn, sunflower and corn. It is the only agricultural company in Ukraine with its own fleet and shipyard. The river transport is being developed on the Dnipro River.”
We would like to mention that NIBULON is an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine since 2011. This testifies NIBULON’s high status both in Ukraine and worldwide. NIBULON follows and implements the ideas of free competitiveness and civilized cooperation between business and authorities. For 27 years of its activity in Ukraine, NIBULON has been supporting the principles of honesty and morality in business introduced by the Chamber.
