In Constanta city (Romania), at the shipyard “SNC”, on September 19, 2012 there was started the floating crane construction by “NIBULON’s” order. The contract for construction of the floating crane of POSS-901project was signed on July 2, 2012. The floating crane construction, according to contractual obligations, will be completed on February 28, 2013. The floating crane will become the most efficient one in Ukraine. It is designed for carrying out loading/ unloading operations at grab mode with crane capacity up to 45 tons and at hook mode – up to 60 tons on inland waterways, in the Sea of Azov, and the Black Sea coastal area up to 20 miles – all year round. Commencement of construction, namely metal cutting, was performed under the technical supervision of the company’s experts. On cutting completion, there will be started hull works. At present the shipyard has already received equipment purchased by “NIBULON: four diesel generators “Volvo Penta” of 420 kW each (a diagram of electric drive of propulsion system), welded outfitting. In near future there will be delivered rudder propellers “Schotel” and other equipment – and the shipyard will be completely provided with all necessary equipment to execute “NIBULON’s” order. Upon construction completion, the floating crane will have the following technical characteristics: length – 52.3 m; breadth – 22 m; draught – 2m; displacement – 2000 tons; speed – not less than 4 knots. The design was developed by Mykolayiv design bureau “Torola design group” with participation of the management and leading specialists of “NIBULON”.
