In the middle of June one of “NIBULON” branches in Lugans’k region received the participants of scientific-practical conference. To conduct such measures on the basis of our branches became a tradition. In 2007 that measure was conducted in “Starobil’s’ka” branch, in 2008 – in “Svativs’ka” branch and this year the participants of the conference were met in “Bilovods’ka” branch. The conference was conducted under the direction of the head of Lugans’k Regional State Administration O. Antipov and with participation of deputy head of Lugans’k Regional State Administration O. Ol’shans’kyy, heads of district administrations and directors of agricultural companies. The main issues were harvesting and autumn field works. The participants of the conference examined the fields with winter wheat and agricultural machineries produced by Lemken company. In the fields two sorts of wheat were demonstrated and namely “Prestige” and “Apogee of Lugans’k”. The specialists say that crop capacity on these fields will be 50 centners per hectare. Such high indices are explained by strict requirements of the management of NIBULON for cultivated production. To up-grade production we pay attention to control corn-bug, high activity of which was caused by favourable weather conditions and unsatisfactory crops protection system. In order that pest control to be effective one need to select agricultural machinery in a proper way. One of the high-performance units for crops chemical treatment is spraying machine “Albatros” (produced by Lemken company), that is actively used for crops protection. NIBULON cooperates with Lemken for a long time. In 2009 our company changed the methods of pest control we gave the preference to ground treatment and minimized air treatment of fields. This decision is not spontaneous. Last year the company’s specialists noted that ground treatment against corn-bug was more effective. It is connected with more qualitative treatment of field edges and more even dispensing of working liquid on crops. So in winter 6 spraying machines “Albatros” were purchased. The machinery was placed in different regions of our country for us to have the opportunity to shift it efficiently during pest control. As a result this year in Mykolayiv region our company reduced the volumes of aeronautical engineering leasing two times but efficiency of works increased. According to the chief agronomist of “Bilovods’ka” branch Volodymyr Golub technical characteristics of German equipment (agricultural machinery produced by Lemken company) meet the requirements of our company completely. NIBULON is going to cooperate with Lemken in future. Deputy general director in Lugans’k, Kharkiv and Poltava regions Andriy Syrovatko told in details about the technology of pest control. As he informed in 2008 nearly 2 mln ha of crops were injured that is half as much again then in 2007. In NIBULON this index reduced to minimum due to systemic usage of land treatment, organizational and other methods. The meaning of one of them is to organize harvesting in early and short terms during 7-8 days. It allows preventing pests from feed sources and as a result its decline in number. Other method of future crop protection lies in following crop rotation, reduction of stubble forecrop for winter wheat to 5-10%, breaking of plant residues, burning of leaves in field-protecting forest plantations and cultivation of field edges. But the main method is dispensing of insecticide on crops. At the end of conference O.
