Andriy Vadaturskyy: “NIBULON is 31 today and as resilient as ever”

Dear employees, partners, customers and friends,What began as a small company in Mykolaiv has evolved into a world-renowned agricultural and logistical powerhouse and a pillar of Ukraine’s economy. We have become one of the country’s largest employers and taxpayers and invested over US$2.3 billion in modernising Ukraine’s grain export infrastructure. NIBULON has grown to operate in 14 regions across Ukraine and cooperated with over 4,300 farms. We have developed and maintained a world-class shipping fleet with more than 80 vessels designed and managed by Ukrainians and built with Ukrainian steel. We are the only grain exporter with our own shipbuilding yard For 31 years, we have been at the cutting edge of innovation to ensure maximum efficiency in our operations and deliver the greatest value for the customers we serve. NIBULON led the development of the Dnipro and Southern Buh Rivers as key transport waterways, significantly increasing Ukraine’s connectivity to global markets. At the Mykolaiv transhipment terminal, NIBULON implemented industry-leading approaches to grain storage and transport systems, tripling the terminal’s capacity. Over the past 31 years, we have exported Ukrainian agricultural products to 75 countries. As part of our partnership with the UN World Food Programme, NIBULON has helped alleviate hunger in the world’s most affected countries and continues to contribute to this important global effort. Since its founding, NIBULON has weathered periods of externally driven crisis and upheaval. Each time, we have emerged as a stronger and more resilient company. This year, NIBULON as a company and every one of our employees, partners and customers individually are facing unprecedented challenges caused by the war. Despite personal loss, fear, and hardship, we have shown and continue to show the collective determination to survive and ensure a better future for us all in a sovereign Ukraine. Over the past nine months, NIBULON has continued to innovate and adapt to new operational realities. We have re-routed exports via land and rail and invested in constructing a strategically important terminal at Izmail on the Danube. This will ensure our capacity to export independently of the temporary Black Sea Grain Initiative. Despite the disruption to our operations, NIBULON has maintained salaries for employees and paid all the farmers who supply us. We have also started an extensive overhaul of our management structures to improve our efficiency and agility. All of this would not have been possible without the extraordinary dedication of NIBULON’s employees. I am deeply grateful to all of them for hard work and personal resilience that has sustained us during these extremely challenging times. I am also grateful to all our partners and customers for their loyalty and support. Of course, more challenges lay ahead, but I am confident that we will withstand and overcome them, emerging stronger and more resilient. NIBULON will continue to be a healthy and prosperous company contributing to Ukraine’s post-war recovery and the security of global food supply. With best wishes on this anniversary,Andriy VadaturskyyNIBULON's CEO
