In these difficult times, we must respect those who help hospitals to fight against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We should, at least, give moral support to these people and companies. Our company voluntarily takes the initiative and makes every effort to implement projects. It is very disappointing when some people and mass media defame these initiatives, people, and companies.  Yesterday, one of the dubious websites published an anonymous article alleging that NIBULON gave an inoperative coronavirus test device to a laboratory. Would you like to know how they determined this? You will never guess, because this method is used only by the so-called “professional virologists”. They did not provide any comment from a real expert or a laboratory specialist. They just concluded by looking at the Facebook photo. Can you imagine this? It is possible to determine everything by a rule of thumb. It would be funny if it wasn't true. Having published this manipulative information, they try to spread panic and create chaos during the lockdown. On March 24, NIBULON gave equipment free of charge to the laboratory center, in particular a CFX96 Touch Real-Time PCR Detection System (2017) produced by  BIO-RAD (the USA), a laminar air flow cabin to extract DNA, a PCR box, a microcentrifuge to extract DNA, 2 sets of automated dispensers, a thermostat to prepare samples, i.e. medical consumables.  We continue working with the laboratory center, solving many urgent issues and giving equipment by the laboratory’s request. For example, we have given the laboratory another PCR box to put RNA/DNA into the reaction mixture. The company gives and installs autoclaves. NIBULON also installed windows in the pass boxes in order to ensure additional isolation, and others.  Please note that all the equipment given free of charge to the laboratory is modern and operates normally. The laboratory’s specialists chose the facility to install the equipment. The main point is that the facility meets the State Sanitary Standards and Regulations “On the Organization of Laboratory Operation Containing Biological Pathogenic Agents of the I-IV Groups of Pathogenicity by Molecular Genetic Methods” approved by the order of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine No 26 dated 24.01.2008 as well as by the State Sanitary Norms 9.9.5.-080-2002. Moreover, it should be taken into account that NIBULON’s equipment is up-to-date and has additional protective mechanisms when operating.  For example, the laminar air flow cabin given by NIBULON has ultraviolet rays, a special system to filter air, and a HEPA-filter to filter out microparticles smaller than virus. It is classified as safety class II equipment.  The so-called “virologists” stated that “…in order to test for coronavirus it is necessary to have two test systems, i.e. to extract RNA and to determine the virus. NIBULON provided only test systems for determining the virus. The test system to extract RNA is still absent…”This statement was written by an incompetent person. The fact is that 1,000 test systems purchased by NIBULON are able to extract RNA/DNA virus and perform real-time polymerase reaction. By the way, this batch of test systems is clearing customs in Ukraine now. Summarizing the above-mentioned information, we doubt that it is possible to convince “virologists-fortunetellers” who can determine everything by looking at pictures. Mykolaiv citizens and Ukrainians must know that the laboratory operates normally. It is provided with all the required devices. The laboratory specialists are also disappointed at this untrue and manipulative article, as they are overworked now. We must support them.NIBULON, despite a great number of incompetent virologists, has helped and continues to help Ukrainians in these difficult times. We wish you health.
