Specialists from NIBULON’s demining department have successfully gained certification in the field of “Demining with the use of machines and mechanisms” from the Mine Action Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
This certificate allows our deminers to use demining machines, including the GCS-200, in the process of clearing Ukrainian land from explosive objects. The demining division already has two remote-controlled GCS-200 machines at its disposal, enabling the return of up to 20,000 square meters of Ukrainian land to economic use daily. By the end of this year, NIBULON’s demining machine fleet will double, reaching four GCS-200 units.
“Currently, NIBULON’s demining team has a comprehensive set of competencies and can offer demining services at cost to all interested parties,” says Mykhailo Rizak, Director of Government Relations. “However, agricultural producers are unable to afford them. The mechanism introduced by the government to compensate only 80% of the cost of services is not economically viable, since it is more advantageous for farms to abandon mined land than to incur expenses for demining and suffer losses due to reduced yields after putting the land into circulation. Small and medium-sized agricultural producers require compensation covering 100% of the cost of services.”

Це дасть змогу отримати врожай у розмірі понад 1 000 000 тонн пшениці та спрямувати його на подолання проблеми голоду у світі. Розраховуємо на допомогу донорів, адже, фінансуючи розмінування, вони не тільки допомагають нужденним країнам, але й сприяють формуванню цивілізованого ринку комерційних послуг із розмінування в Україні та формують новий ринок кредитування малих та середніх агровиробників щодо відновлення родючості земель та функціонування ринку землі», – зазначає Михайло Різак.
