On the 1st of August, 2011, the main vessel of a series of the tugs- NIBULON-1 (completed order № 183) has started sea trials according to the schedule. During the maneuvers, basic operating modes were checked, trials of propulsion complex (motor, shaft, screws) were conducted in full operation. The vessel, navigated by the captain Volodymyr Mayevs’kyy, showed a speed of 11.3 knots in condition of running machines. At the same time auxiliary machinery, equipment, engine room piping, automation systems, in action by direct appointment, were checked. In the coming days trials to check the towing tension of the tug and its maneuverability will be conducted. Currently, the representative of «Mitsubishi» company (the Netherlands) finished setting the main engines and left the vessel. Experts of «Berg» company (Turkey) are completing their work on setting rudder propeller units.  Trials are under close supervision of the representative of project organization – Mykolayiv construction bureau“Torola Design Group” (Oleg Bogorodyts’kyy). On the part of the customer, “NIBULON”, Director General Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, Director of the shipping company Dmytro Sokolov, Deputy Director for shipbuilding Yuriy Karmalov and others inspect trials of the tug daily. On the part of the executor, Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard “Okean”, vice-president Mykola Ivanov, the chief builder of vessels Anatoliy Mystyukevych, chief engineer Oleksandr Afanasenko are present during the trials. Sea trials, starting from the 1st of August, are conducted daily. Trials will be completed in the coming days, and then the tug will be accepted to the appropriate class of Shipping Register of Ukraine. Currently, as a result of the trials, performance parameters of the vessel were confirmed. The vessel meets the latest regulatory requirements and has no analogues in the modern domestic fleet family. At the same time, works on the construction of the tug of the series are being continued in the dry dock. Order № 184: preparation for launching the vessels is continued, echo sounder and log are set at the vessel; outer skin and tank cisterns are painted; installation of rudder propeller units is being finished; isolation of the lower cabins and laying cable is started. Order № 185: hull works are completed, saturation of the hull is being continued. Order № 186: hull works are being completed at the same time with hull saturation.
