From October 23 to 25, 2012 in Odesa city there was held the International Black Sea Transport Forum 2012 that included the 14th International exhibition on transport and logistics “TransUkraine 2012”, the 10th International exhibition on navigation, shipbuilding and ports development “Odesa 2012”, the International exhibition on railway transport “TransRail Ukraine 2012”, the specialized exhibition “Commercial and Municipal Transport 2012”. This event was organized by “MediaCompass Ukraine” company. The International Black Sea Transport Forum became one of the main events in the transport industry. The Forum events were included in 2012 Transport Committee program of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) according to BSEC agenda in the transport sector. The Forum was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. This event was also supported by Black and Azov Seas Ports Association (BASPA), Black Sea International Ship Owners Association (BINSA), Black Sea Region Association of Shipbuilders and Ship Repairers (BRASS), Danube Commission, Association of Shipbuilders of Ukraine “UKRSUDPROM”, Association of Ukrainian ports “Ukrport”, European union of transport workers of Ukraine, Odesa Regional State Administration, Odesa State Council. In his welcoming speech First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Kostyantyn Efymenko mentioned, “…our country has a powerful transport infrastructure and one of the main tasks to develop the transport infrastructure is an extension of transit potential. The Forum not only gives the transport workers an opportunity to solve a number of their own tasks, to achieve business goals, to get a positive experience in rendering transport services but also the Forum opens up prospects for transport cooperation with the leading foreign companies, assists in familiarization with up-to-date transport equipment, logistic technologies and systems domestic and foreign companies are famous for”. Within the Forum there were rewarded the winners of the National transport rating “Man of the Year on Transport”. Tens of companies participated in this activity, there was also analyzed a work of the sea transport sector for 2011 and the first half of 2012. 38 experts from all transport sectors took part in the work of expert group. Due to them there were chosen the very best companies in carriage engineering, locomotive engineering, machine building, freight forwarding, container transportations, etc. Consequently, the winners of nominations were determined. Among them are: 1. “The best company of Ukraine”: – “NIBULON” (Mykolayiv city). 2. “Construction of hydraulic structures”: – “NIBULON” (Mykolayiv city); – “Mebius Construction Ukraine” company (Odesa region). 3. “Ports”: – SE “Odesa Sea Commercial Port”; – SE “Evpatoria Sea Commercial Port”; – SE “Mariupol Sea Commercial Port”. 4. “Container transportation”: – “К-Line” company (Odesa city). 5. “Locomotive engineering”: – JSC “Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant” (Poltava city). 6. “Rail carriage engineering”: – SE “Striy Railway-Car Repair Plant” (Lviv region); – SE “Donetsk Railway”. 7. “Transport mass media”: – Railway publishing house “The Rolling Stock” (Kharkiv city). 8. “Machine building: – “Trading house “Komtek Ltd.”  (Dnipropetrovs’k region). 9. “Shipbuilding and ship repair”: – Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. 10. “Transport science and education in Ukraine”: – Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding; – Odesa National Maritime Academy; – Ukrainian Maritime Institute. The experts of the Ukrainian transport sector again and again noted “NIBULON’s” activities and its General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy for endurance during crisis, deep vision of prospects for the development of the Ukrainian marine economic complex, uncompromising and at the same time flexible positions in the company’s interests advocacy. “NIBULON’s” successes in the maritime sector were highly appreciated by the Ukrainian society. For the second consecutive year “NIBULON” is the only prize-winner in the nomination “Golden berth” of the National Maritime Rating of Ukraine. Besides, “NIBULON”, as last year, became the prize-winner in the nomination “Fleet renewal” and entered the top five best companies in the nomination “Forwarder of the Year”. Taking into account the rating results and the results demonstrated by the nominees, we are surprised that the entities of the domestic marine economic complex gave up their positions and do not develop this sector properly. We are proud of being a leader not only in the agricultural sector but also in the Ukrainian marine economic complex – a leader in several nominations according to the rating results. It is pleasant to note that at present not the ports or other entities of the marine economic complex, but the agrarian company takes the leading positions in the respective sector. “NIBULON” practices the following principle: Ukraine must be a maritime country and not a country at the seaside!
