We recollect NIBULON’s qualities that impress and inspire the most. Goal-orientedAt present NIBULON is the only company that does not only cultivate grain, but also builds facilities, ports, fleet, and reconstructs its shipbuilding and repair yard. It was not always like this. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy founded NIBULON in 1991. The beginning of the 90’s was a difficult period for entire Ukraine: currency change, hyperinflation, political and economic crises.  NIBULON overcame all the challenges. From a 7-employee company, NIBULON has turned into a world-renowned company employing almost 7,000 employees. The company can achieve everything due to its persistent work and goal-oriented activities.  Strategic viewThe agrarian company can be successful by controlling the entire logistics chain: from product production to the final consumer in the destination countries. This is the only way to achieve success. We have done a lot to create a modern and perfect logistics system, and today NIBULON successfully competes in both domestic and international markets. In order to be successful, one must be successful in all areas. The company grows high-quality grain, is experienced in product quality, and has the largest facilities in Ukraine for qualitative grain storage, modern trucks, as well as the best and the most efficient fleet in Ukraine.   Uniqueness In 2009, NIBULON started a real transportation revolution, having completely changed and improved logistics in the regions. The company was the first in independent Ukraine to develop the potential of Ukrainian rivers as main transport arteries. This is a unique example of an agrarian company that revives the shipbuilding sector, constructs a network of transshipment terminals and efficiently develops navigation on the Ukrainian inland waterways. The implementation of the investment project reduces man-caused load on road transport, saves money of the state budget for road repairs, and improves the environment. The company annually sets records in cargo transportation. In 2018, NIBULON transported 2.8 million tons of cargoes by rivers and in 2019 – 3.8 million tons, thereby reducing road and railway (taking into account the lack of railcars) transportation of grain cargoes by Ukrainian highways. NIBULON’s fleet has transported more than 20 million tons of cargoes.  OptimismThe neglected state of the Ukrainian shipbuilding during the years of Ukraine’s independence made us master a new activity. Ukraine must be a maritime state. Consequently, NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard was created. It is one of the few enterprises to build complete vessels. The shipyard builds 8-10 vessels every year, depending on the order complexity and deadweight. The shipbuilding and repair yard constructs complete vessels and floating facilities of up to 140 m long, performs ship repairs and design works. The company has ranked first among Ukrainian shipyards, based on the rating of the Association of Shipbuilders of Ukraine (Ukrsudprom), for the third consecutive year. The experts of the National Maritime Rating of Ukraine have recognized Oleksiy Vadaturskyy as the “Person of the Year on Water Transport” for the third time.   PersistenceBy investing in Ukraine’s economy, building up-to-date elevator complexes, laboratories and technological lines, NIBULON has completely changed the structure of agricultural commodity cultivation across the country. During 2001-2003, Ukraine cultivated 4 million tons of corn, based on a corn price of USD 80 per ton loaded into a vessel. Thus, it could not compete on corn quality with the USA, Argentina or Brazil. Having implemented modern technologies and learnt from the Egyptian experience, the company developed this market. Today the company is competitive with the USA, Argentina, and Brazil. The company has managed to bring Ukrainian corn to the global market, thereby helping many agricultural producers. Corn has become a real queen of the fields: profitable and efficient. Ukrainian farmers have started cultivating more than 25 million tons of corn per year.  High standardsNIBULON’s activities always meet the highest standards of cooperation with financial institutions. In 1998, the company was the first agricultural producer in Ukraine to obtain a loan from the International Bank of the Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). Having successfully completed the above-mentioned program, the IBRD awarded NIBULON a diploma as a successful company as part of the program. Despite the difficult time for our country, the company enjoys confidence of first-class European banks, foreign financial institutions and partners, thereby showing the support of the international financial organizations and giving a positive signal to attract investments in Ukraine’s economy. Openness and transparency Since it commenced operations, NIBULON has been conducting its business responsibly, transparently and in compliance with legislation. The company was the first to join the All-Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance – an initiative for businesses that work transparently.  NIBULON was the first in the agrarian market to publish agricultural commodity prices on its official website. Today the company fights corruption and the shadow economy in order to create a transparent and civilized grain market in Ukraine, directing effort to legalize all the activities of our partners in different sectors of the economy.  ResponsibilityNIBULON is a perfect example of socially responsible business. The company is one of the largest taxpayers and has been repeatedly acknowledged as a winner of the All-Ukrainian rating “Prompt taxpayers”, as the best employer and one of the biggest philanthropists. NIBULON’s strategy aims at a comprehensive and complete change in the living standards of the Ukrainians through education, medical service, social infrastructure, environment preservation, etc. The company spent about UAH 70 million to fight COVID-19 during the pandemic.
