Even in the conditions of the constant difficulties and obstacles on the way to the execution of foreign economic contracts, NIBULON manages to build the independent logistics policy, which provides for the effective use of its own resources. An important part in this process is played by the development of the new Bessarabska branch in Izmail. We talk about the key achievements of the team, which made it impossible to export in the conditions of blocking the usual logistics chains and fleet.1. Transported 15% of cargo from Izmail to Constanța with our own fleetTotally during the period January-June 2023 were transported near 80 thousand tons of grains from Bessarabska branch in Izmail to Constanța, Romania with NIBULON’s own fleet, which amounted 15% from the total volume of the company’s shipments. It became possible because of a unique procedure of relocation of the fleet from Mykolaiv, which involved disassembly procedure of the crafts, their transportation by road to the Danube and subsequent assembly on the Bessarabska branch. In this way it was possible to transport 2 port tugs “NIBULON-12” and “NIBULON-14”, tugs “NIBULON-3” and “NIBULON-11” and two loaders TEREX FUCHS MHL 385.2. Began to provide tug fleet services to the third-party organizations on the DanubeOur tugs work not only for NIBULON’s needs. In the spring we started to provide services such as towing, mooring and unmooring of the vessels out of the Danube. There is a demand. From January to June 2023, the number of working in this way hours increased 18 times.3. Shipped through the Dnieper over 15 thousand tons of grains.In the fall 2022 NIBULON resumed the operation of all river elevators, which located in the territory under the control of Ukraine, which are Zelenodolska, Hradyzk, Khortytsia, Ternivska, Vitove, Novoodeska, Pereiaslavska, Voznesenska and Kremenchutska branches. In the spring NIBULON managed to resume transportation on the middle Dnieper. Currently, tugs “NIBULON-10”, “Hermes-2” and non-self-propelled barges UAK-1, UAK-2, UAK-3, UAK-4 operate here, and the Kremenchutska branch act as transshipment hub, which receives grain from water transport and reloads into the wagons. During the April-May 2023 in this way it was possible to transport over 15 thousand tons of grains.In Shipping Company’s plans is to increase the volume of provided services to the third-party organizations in Izmail, as well as to increase the volumes of transportation to Constanța due to the optimization of routes. Thus, the experience of passing sea routes, gained in winter and spring, allow our company to choose precisely the water routes instead of transportation by the Danube, what affect on the speed of the fleet rotation.4. Increased the volume of transportation by road transport by 3,6 timesThe road transport of NIBULON which currently consists of 100 trucks, in the conditions of the limited operation of the grain corridor and throughput capacity of the railway infrastructure in the direction of Izmail became a very important part of the company’s logistic chain. Transportation of grain from the south branches, in particular the river Voznesenska and Novoodeska ones, as well as the terminal in Mykoaliv, which currently functions as a dry port, in the direction of Bessarabska branch is carried out by road transport. In the current year, the logistic department team managed to increase the volume of transportation by 3,6 times and at the same time improve the efficiency of auto transport using by 66% due to the full stuffing of the auto fleet with drivers and the rationalization of the transportation structure. In the department's plans to implement the project to update 50% of the truck fleet already by the end of 2023.5. Saved 63 mln UAH thanks to the use of the own wagon fleetSince the beginning of 2023, NIBULON transported by railway almost 100 thousand tons of cargo both in the direction of western border of the country, its own Bessarabska branch, and the ports of the grain corridor. The presence of our own wagon fleet allowed us to save an average 700 UAH on each tons of transported goods, which in total made it possible to save 63 mln UAH. Also during this period, in the context of improving the use of the wagons and the efficiency of rail transport processing, an automated line for reloading from the wagons was put into operation at the Bessarabska branch, and additional containers were constructed to receive grain products from the rail transport in the conditions of bad weather. It is very important for the Danube region, where the storage containers and accumulation containers are absent, which significantly makes worse the unloading of the wagons in the region. Thanks to the new line, the volumes of unloading at the Bessarabska branch were increased up to 60 wagons per day.
