Livestock Farming
Alongside with crop husbandry six “NIBULON Ltd.” branches are concerned with livestock breeding: Pilot Research Farm Lidiyevskoye (Domanovsky district of Mykolayiv region), Khmelnikskiy and Pivdenniy Bug (Vinnytskiy region) and Bystrytskyy and Chudnovskyy (Zhytomyrskiy region).
In 1997 we brought to Pilot Research Farm Lidiyevskoye 140 heads of pedigree purebred youngstock of Angler cattle form Germany in order to develop a highly productive diary herd. Angler is basically diary breed, but simultaneously it shows excellent feeding and early maturation efficiency.
Weight gain reaches 1100 grams in 24 hours. Bulling weight 350-400 kg in 16-18 month, while heifers 550-600 kg.
305-day lactation yield per heifer average out at 5500-6000 kg of milk, the highest milk yield figure up to 8000 kg of milk by some specimen. Fat content of milk works out 4.1 to 5.0%, protein – 3.2-3.7 %, density 1.029-1.031gr/mm3. Milk of such a quality is a perfect material for hard cheeses production.
Given high productiveness results, Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine awarded the Pilot Research Farm Lidiyevskoye a status of pure Angler breed multiplication farm.
Due to young breeders of Farm Lidiyevskoye a new herd replacement was created in branch Khmelnikskiy in 2002. The productiveness efficiency is the best in Vinnytskiy region. Alongside with cattle breeding the Khmelnikskiy branch is engaged in pig-breeding. Average day weight-gain of growing-fattening pigs comprises 450-500 gr.
The branch Pivdenniy Buh is involved in livestock farming since March 1, 2006. A Simmental pedigree cattle multiplication farm was established there. Besides, the branch is engaged in pig-breeding. The swine livestock numbers 209 head of cattle.
That is extremely significant, that already after few first months of functioning the brunch set leading positions in milk yielding: 16.4 liters per head in 24 hours.
A new branch, Kamenets-Podolskiy, was established in 2007. Its livestock farm is occupied with breeding of Black-and-White Ukrainian, while pork farm breeds Large White.
The activity of “NIBULON Ltd.” branches is characterized with ascending dynamics in density of stocking increase.

Enumerated data stand for multiplication of the herd thanks to our own resources. At the same time we managed to enlarge total milk yield: 1704,1 tons in 2008 compared to 566.0 tons in 2004, which makes 301,1% of increase. Our brunches are supplied with cold and hot water, and equipped with refrigeration systems. We created appropriate conditions for efficient work of dairymaids and other stuff. All technological procedures of production are mechanized. Barns and sheds were reconstructed at brunches Pivdenniy Buh and Khmelnikskiy. Due to production of compound feedingstuff at “AC Vradievsky”, all brunches involved in pork or cattle breeding are supplied with compound feedingstuff of our own production. In order to receive maximum of productivity we use diverse premixes and vitamin protein-mineral admixtures to optimize the nutrients.
Two new branches were established in Zhytomirskaya region, whose aim is to develop cattle breeding. We plan to manage a herd of Red-and-White Ukrainian diary-breed total number of 677 heads, as well as pork breeding complex with capacity of 8 thousands heads in brunch Bystrytskyy. Brunch Chudnovskyy ranches Black-and-White diary breed. 80 people got jobs in these brunches.
Besides productive aims livestock farming pursues social aim – to increase the amount of livestock farming workers and specialists as much as to provide all brunches of our company with farming products of our own production.
