Comments"The 12th of May, our group made of French, Belgium, Spanish and Dutch farmers, traders & feed producers, had the chance to be the guets of the company Nibulon in Nikolaev. During the first part of the journey, the group visited the production branch of "Snigurivs?ka?near Nikolayev. Most of the people have been surprised by the number of farm equipment for cultivation, spraying, sowing, harvesting or for the storage. There was an interesting contrast among the machines staying on the territory of the farm : old tractors coming from the soviet time were standing close to the latest machinery available on the market ie Case or John Deere combines and tractors. After a visit of the installations, including the storing facilities, we went for a field tour.
During the second part of the journey, the group had an excursion in the massive and modern transshipment terminal in the port of Nikolaev. To welcome us, a French flag was lifted in the entrance! Everybody did appreciate this very gentle behaviour. After a nice lunch with local food and specialties, we had a walk around. Everyone was impressed by the compactness of the facility and its ability to rotate more than 30 times per year which is so high in comparison to our western standards. Everything was clear and quiet. We also? saw the loading of a cargo. The river transportation is not only a legend in Ukraine and we had the proof in Nikolaev where we saw the brand new 5000t barges belonging to the company Nibulon. This way of carrying cereals is one of the key for the future of the grain transportation in Ukraine. After a stop in the laboratory, where we had the possibility to discuss with the staff about the quality criterias and the analysis operated, the visit ended by a group picture. From all our west Europeans visitors, we would like to thank once again Nibulon and its team for the great welcome that we received. Feeding the world is a very noble work". written by Pierre Adrien FLAGES, Agritel Paris, member of the group during the visits.
Dear Mr. O. Vadaturskyy, Your hospitality has been so warm and the organization of the Crop Tour so interesting, so exhaustive, that is me who has to thank you. I was very impressed from what You and your team have been able to create in just 15 years. First of all, your modern terminal in Nikolajev where your son Andrei have explained, accurately and with a total control of the matter, how each investment has been thought and achieved. The functionality of the terminal has been obtained paying attention to other things which have to do with life quality of each day, as the implantation of trees, rose bushes, green-houses, refectory etc. I also learnt a lot visiting lands You are farming:
Emotionally to be among all this nice people and particularly with the students at the inauguration of the Internet class, will be an experience unforgattable to me and my son Jonathan. Good job Mr Vadaturskyy, Andrei, Anton and all the Nibulon team for what you have done up to here and best wishes for the future which, I have no doubts, is very promissory.Sincerely yours Vittorio Mazzotti ![]() Vittorio Mazzotti (the second from the right). In the first field we were amazed by the quality of the barley: the field did not receive that much of fertilizer or herbicide but it was looking really good according to the low input level. The chief agronomist explained us that the key of the success is to use the inputs at the proper time especially in this area where precipitations are very low.
